I'm currently stuck on a card for a copies matter sub theme.
I have "Whenever a source you control copies an ability, card, spell, or permanent, put a time counter on ~."
This should trigger anytime a spell or ability is copied, a token that's a copy or a card or spell is created, or a clone type creature does its thing. Is there a cleaner way to say this? Is the current wording the best option?

Whenever you copy a spell, ability, or card or create a token that's a copy of a card or permanent, [your desired effect]

hah! I had the "or create a token that's a copy of a card or permanent" part in originally, but thought it sounded wrong/was too wordy. I should just listen to Toucan Sam and follow my nose.
