Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest!
Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and eighty-sixth challenge!
To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post.
And now, time to begin the challenge!
Best of luck, competitors!

Multikicker (You may pay an additional any number of times as you cast this spell.) Choose X. For each time this spell was kicked, you may choose the same mode up to one additional time— • Target player gains 2 life. • Destroy target enchantment with converted mana cost of X or less. • Target player creates a 1/1 Soldier creature token. • Target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
Grimivore Creature - Lhurgoif As long as a creature card with flying is in a graveyard, Grimivore gets +1/+1 and has flying. The same is true for first strike, double strike, deathtouch, haste, hexproof, indestructible, lifelink, menace, protection, reach, trample, and vigilance. 0/0
My store is running a monthly Archenemy FNM event, and I have been building Brawl decks for it. Free entrance fee, and if you and your team are able to beat me (the archenemy), then you each get a booster. It's been a cool event to run. Sometimes people win, but most of the time they lose. But all the time, people have been having fun.
Probably my biggest issue with set design is I like to play by the Rule of Cool, and that doesn't always equal "Balanced Gameplay"
For some reason I'm apparently in the mood for some commander designs recently..
Anyway, I really wanted a card you could cast early on if you really wanted / needed to, but gets better and better the longer the game goes on. So inspired by Accumulated Knowledge I came up with this:
t2stonerain: Maybe put the cards on the bottom in a random order. Choosing the order usually takes longer and has no impact on the game. Especially if you reveal a lot of cards. And it can combo sometimes to let you sort your whole library which might sound interesting, but is mainly tiresome.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage must be destroyed.
Crackling Storm Instant When you cast this spell, copy it for each instant and sorcery card you own in exile and in your graveyard. You may choose new targets for the copies. Crackling Storm deals 1 damage to any target. Draw a card.

Good call. I was looking at Anticipate and Ancient Stirrings for the "any order" templating, but it seems like most newer cards that let you look at 4 or more cards does "random order". Will edit.
t2stonerain: Onemorething: it's not entirely clear which set of cards are being bottomed; as it is now, one could argue that ALL cards involved in the spell are bottomed, which would make it O.P. near to the point of broken. I suggest you change the last sentence to "Put that card into your hand, then put all other cards revealed this way on the bottom of your library in a random order."
spazlaz When you unlock a loyalty ability for Jace, the Cryptic, does that persist across all copies you own? If I play one JTC, I unlock all his abilities, then he dies—if I play a second JTC, does that one need his abilities unlocked as well?
Nightwalker Nosferatu Creature- Vampire Warrior ~ gets +1/+1 for each player that has 10 or less life. : ~ gains flying until end of turn. 1/1 Some vampires are socialites, mingling with humans and vampires alike. Some are welcome in neither world.
