I could've pulled a Starcraft here, but that's an RTSG not an RPG, so I'll have to lead with the only space RPG I really know of, Spelljammer (even then it's more of a setting than a game in of itself but it was stated that it counts). Source and about art credits: The image seems to be official Spelljammer artwork from that setting's new book. I've looked at several sites that had the image, though none of them seemed to give credits (they consisted of articles talking about the new spelljammer races) outside of this art being referred to as official art, much less did they mention a specific artist. So I'm leaving it as Wizards of the Coast for the art credits. Really nice card, although Oozie type should be Hamster, since it's a Giant Space Hamster (this is actual DND lore, I am not joking.)To be honest I didn't know there was lore behind that art. I don't think there is a hamster creature type in MTG though do correct me if I'm wrong cause if I knew there was such a thing in a non-silverborder format I absolutely would have made that token a hamster.

The setting is Shadowrun.

"Good midnight everyone watching this channel, this is Kaonashi, the Cook Robin who robs secrets from riches and tributes them to you poor nerds and today's scoop is ... Akai Industry's CEO abuses his child!" From Tokyo N◎VA though NOVA doesn't use dice but playing cards. I tried to make it an ability but there's no enough space.

Alright, thanks for the win!
For the next event, generate a random MTG card in Scryfall, then use that card's art for a substantially different card of your own making. Make sure to state what the original card was!

Thank you everyone for your entries and apologies for the wait, got sidetracked with some unexpected IRL stuff. Also apologies to ameisenmeister and Daij_Djan since you didn't make your entries I won't be able to consider them for this. ZephyrPhantom {Spoiler}Interesting card. I like how you can use it to damage creatures in order to make first strike more effective (so, damaging them before blockers making it so more creatures will become chomp blockers) and it also helps clear out some typical chomp blockers, or you could just ping your opponent. Definitely a great aggro choice. One thing I'm unsure about though is the rulings regarding picking the same target multiple times, which in my opinion would make it a bit too strong, but I presume you can't. Flo00 {Spoiler}Neat use of the art! I like the simple cantrip design of it, and the flavor aspects even has a bit of a (intentional or otherwise) Easter egg for those fmailiar with Khaldheim lore. The effect itself though I feel could easily lead to some confusing scenarios if a card is ever printed where, say, a vote would determine the power/toughness of a creature. I double checked though, and at least for now there don't seem to be any cards that would be like that for now, so this is mainly a concern of restricting future design. vizionarius {Spoiler}These cards effects are pretty thematic, but also a bit all over the place. I like the inclusion of exiling another creature as opposed to sacrificing it to avoid a loop, and I like that this effect gives +1/+1 to all creatures not just yours, making it a little bit less straightforward how you should use it (as this combat trick may not help you with trades unless used more strategically). One last, minor complaint, is that there is some dissonance of the flavor text and the card effect, since the flavor text claims the night also brings vulnerability, yet the mechanical effect is buffing all creatures. Sanfonier of the Night {Spoiler}With this card as well I feel there is some dissonance of the effect and the flavor, namely in that there is no requirement for your creature to be weak. Particularly relevant because it's also a break with the image, seeing as this contest is all about building a card around an image. That being said the color choice and effect are both very fitting, and well distanced from the original. Despite the amount of text the effect is also pretty simple but carries a fair amount of strategic potential, being an instant buff with a fight, or in an emergency just an instant fight without the buff. pernicious {Spoiler}A little less different, but still quite enough, it's again a simple and very interesting effect. I like how there's a downside and a decent upside as well, making this a card you might be happy to slap on a creature on either side of the board. Like the flavor text as well. twintania {Spoiler}What happens to a demolition stomper after the war? Haha
Half-jokes aside, I like this, it's a cool card with a nice effect. The only minor complaint I have is the name, I get what you're going for, but I also feel just straight putting the name of a modern piece of technology on a card without it even being a pun or something is wasted potential. Something like "Land Mower" or "Lawn Crusher" or something else that changed it up a bit while referencing the size I feel would have been a much better fit. That being being, it's only a nitpick on my part.
hydraheadhunter {Spoiler}A few things confused me about this card at first, but the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. Things like "why not just make this an instant instead of adding the next turn tracking?". But with entwine, it makes a lot more sense why you'd want to play the second effect on your turn. I really like the direction you took the image here, as well as the image it conjures of this tiny creature trying to make itself seem threatening with knives. <Winner> {Spoiler}Today's victor is pernicious , for a simple yet compelling design that captured the image well, some nice flavor text on top, and several interesting possibilities for use with the card. In second place is hydraheadhunter whom I felt of the winner candidates during the final decision had the card that was most distinguished from the original, and I don't want to leave without mentioning twintania 's card which while not as distinct nor having the same strategical dynamics, was still a very fun and interesting design to look at with little more than nitpicks to throw at it.

Thank you for the win, Idea. For the next challenge, go on huggingface.co/spaces/stabilityai/stable-diffusion and use a prompt of at most 10 words to create the artwork for your card. You don't have to pick among the first results of the A.I., re-generate the images as much as you want. Don't forget to write what prompt you used!

"Medieval diver in a volcano fighting a rock octopus neon" {Original Image} I pushed the image through DALL-E to expand it to fit the frame, since cropping it didn't work as neatly as I'd have liked, but the original cropped version is attached as well in case doing this would disqualify my entry. {Card without any additional image manipulation}

My prompt is "Destroy target creature and gain life equal to its power". Probably this is the most tough work ever I designed here. {My thinking process}It has its name. I searched the three words for wiktionary and none came up. I barely found that Tretage can be tret + -age but then it would be a legendary creature with its name Testotst Powr and Tretage as its middle or nickname. I had no idea what kind of creature can have such a middle name. I chose to go for all the words as proper nouns. There are proper noun events like Ragnarok and Doomskar. But do you come up with any non-creature and non-planeswalker card with three proper noun words and no English word in its name? This kind of naming is the privilege for creatures and planeswalkers. There are many troubles if it was a planeswalker so I chose to make it a creature. I wanted a white or black one but clearly its mana cost is . Something like kicker can cover it but this card has two lines at first and seems to have no mana symbol in it. So I decided to give it an activated or triggered ability to destroy target creature and so on. That is not all about its mana cost. It looks big and far from 1/1 or 2/2 so it got to have a hunted ability in Ravnica to be a fatty. I wanted to use whole the prompt without any change so I added activating condition which suited for the hunted ability after the prompt ability. I didn't read AI generated rule text unlike I did the name, card type and eonitity. Like some Germany cards, I thought this was a non-English version card and it has remnant of English in its name and type but its rule text is far from English. At first the hunters had reach and they were green because I thought this was a dragon. Then I realized that this was a Gagor and not a dragon. I wiktionaried for gagor, gazor, cagor etc and no good candidate came up. So this is a gagor which is unknown what they are. Now flying is not necessary for it so I removed it because the first two line seemed not to have keyword ability. About the card type, I saw it lacked the card type part for some reasons. If this was a subtyped sorcery it would be consistent here, but sorcery cannot have full proper noun name and is hard to have rule text before kind of kicker. After searching wiktionary for Iofotell, Cofotell, Iototell and so on, this got to be Iofotell Gagor. Eonitity is luckily easy. It has a property of eonite which has something to do with eon. I thought the reason of the place it is written is a kind of tombstone icon though I don’t know why it is so important information. However, the lucky ends there. This eonitity instructs V6. would be its cost and 6 is understandable but what is V? I tried to see it 1/6 and it resulted to think what kind of keyword can refer power/toughness in the template instead of freeing me from V. I examined some abilities with a size specializing but none of them had a taste of eonitity. I forced myself to see V is a very clumsy X but generic mana should come before . Finally, I decided to regard it as an untap symbol after several times of thinking over. Eonitity would have , or , choose and discard a card in your hand or so in its format. I allowed myself to add hyphen between and 6. Then, here came the new restriction. Testotst must be in the battlefield to activate Eonitity. I discarded some idea that's a kind of suspending from your graveyard or becoming an emblem from your graveyard. Eventually I went for suspending from the battlefield. It was emblemizing himself from the battlefield paying , and its activating ability cost more "put 6 cards in exile you own into your graveyard" until last an hour I post this. But the activation ability is lacking of appearance to activate it from command zone. If it had more important ability, say "creatures you control gets +2/+2", you consider proactively eoniting him to ensure the ability in exchange for losing card advantage. None will treat his ability like so and only when is left for free and it is targeted by a removal spell. This ability does not fit in with this card. At last, I started to think what is this. I regarded Iofotell is his(maybe her, either is ok) race and Gagor would be a title like Praetor. In the view of the feeling of sound, Gagor is more likely to be a draconic race than Iofotell. But if Gagor is a race, Iofotell will be another race or Elder-like title for its word order. I didn't hit on another word which treated as Elder and didn't want to think Iofotell's biology and the meaning of being both Iofotell and Gagor, I decided Iofotell as a race and Gagor as a title. He has middle name and family name so he is the founder of Powr or a scion of Powr. Also he has an Eonitity he would be undying entity so the founder who living through a thousands decades is suitable for him.
