Note: Soulbond creatures are also paired, so this also affects them. Inspired by this in concept.

Doing a combo and also submit this to the current Finish the Card challenge. Celestial Encounter Sorcery You gain 3 life, then draw a card for every 3 life you have more than you had at the start of the turn.

Alright, it's been nearly two weeks, so I'm gonna judge this in 24 hours. Get your last entries in!So it took 48 hours, but I'm judging now: idea : I like this a lot. I like the fact that you accurately gave the creature both the pegasus and unicorn type, I like the use of multi-color and hybrid, and I like conceptualizing it as a fairy tale. My only nitpick are a typo in the creature textbox ("an" instead of "and") and the fact that the frame should be gold rather than hybrid (though I have a soft spot for the hybrid frames). Solid Entry vizionarius : Another solid entry. I like the innovation and how it plays into design space that hasn't been played with much. However, the ability is somewhat hard to parse, and it requires the player to know a lot of the subtler nuance of the game. This isn't something I would put at uncommon. That said, still love how you swung for the fence. flo00 : This is an interesting idea, especially since I love lifegain strategies, but it feels a little incomplete. For starters, I really feel like it should have a flavour text. The name is a bit generic, but that's kind of a pro and a con, since it makes the card easier to reconceptualize for a different set. I like where it's going, I just feel it needed a bit more time in the oven. Oh, and your render is missing the artist credit... pistonsmcgraw: I like the card, but there is really no reason for this card to be blue. Everything it does can be done in monowhite. Also, while I like the idea of using Soulbound to represent mounts, it feels weird to me that the unicorn needs to be soulbound to be able to fly. Winner is Idea, with vizionarius as runner up!

Thank you for the win collex !
Now this next one is an image I think has a lot going on, so I'm interested in seeing what angles people take it in. Here it is: Artist is Marcela Bolivar

Macabre Embrace Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has deathtouch. When enchanted creature dies, its controller creates a token that’s a copy of that creature, except it is a 0/1 green Plant and has defender. Of course the token has also the other abilities of the original creature, not just defender. Maybe I should do a reminder for that?

I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure when you make a copy of a creature, you only copy what's on the card not changes from enchantments or otherwise. So I'm pretty sure that copy wouldn't have deathtouch.

hydraheadhunter {Spoiler}I like the name of this card, it's fitting and rings well in the ear. The flavor text also feels very poetic, and the effect seems reasonable given it has that quirk of exiling your graveyard - therefore assuring there's no loops caused by this card, since the sacrifice happens before the exiling. The only thing I have against it is being a 0/4, I think that's a bit high for a card with a pretty decent effect like this and doesn't fit in flavorfully either. Flo00 {Spoiler}I definitely like this card a lot. I feel it captures the image pretty well, as well as provide an interesting effect. A simple effect that grants a buff and power to kill... but then preserves your creature if it dies, albeit in a weakened state. It's a very flexible card with very fun dynamics, and one I would love to include in a deck. sorsal {Spoiler}This feels... expensive. Like a typical tapping artifact will add only one mana, but cost less, only generic mana and that mana is pretty much guaranteed to be of the type you need, not to mention often having other effects. This artifact does add one more mana passively, but that isn't that much different from adding two mana by a tapping effect since it only happens once every turn, and while two mana is indeed a significant improvement over one mana, that random factor is a big deal. It means you have a one in five chance of actually using it for a given monocolor, 2 in five for a dual color card. And even then you're not guaranteed to be able to use both the mana the card provides. Since you can't use it on generic you're probably going to be sitting there looking at a useless artifact that gave you two mana you have no means of spending, and you needed to pay a steeper price for than most artifacts of its type.
One positive thing I will say for it though, I like that you tried to take a different angle with this card and even focused on a non-obvious part of the image. vizionarius {Spoiler}"Target creature" and "gains all abilities of" is not a pair of sentences I'd generally like to see together in a card. Don't get me wrong, it's really cool and has lots of potential, but I can also see this getting turned into some really hard to rule on effects or very much broken combos. I think this is too flexible for an effect that's difficult to balance and intuitively understand the nuances of, and therefore would be not only complicated to implement but also be extremely restrictive on design. Other than that, the card is strong, but I feel it is balanced, and I like how it captures this white feel of green-black life-death dynamic by having a gift given from the grave... until a return. Winner {Spoiler}I loved the effects, even in the balancing quirks, as well as the use of the image, name and flavor of hydraheadhunter 's card. The win goes to them, shortly followed by Flo00

Thank you for the win.
The flavor text also feels very poetic. I don't want to tell you it's a tumblr quote... by tumblr user personsonable.
Anyway, I always knew I'd suffer from analysis paralysis deciding on a good image for this challenge if I ever won it. And what do you know, I am. So I'mma just shirk my responsibilty to make a singular decision in favor of prompting each of y'all to find an good image that interests you specifically. Here are five links to search results on art station for the words White, Blue, Black, Green, and Red: From these results¹, pick an image you like and a magic card that is NOT the color you sourced your picture from (eg. If you choose an image from "Green" your card must be non-green.)
¹If you prefer to source a different art site, you may; but you must use results from that site using the exact same search terms.
Please link to the page you're sourcing the art from in your entry.

Ghastly Ancients Creature - Spirit Ghastly Ancients has deathtouch as long as a player discarded a creature or planeswalker card this turn, flying as long as a player discarded an instant or sorcery card this turn, menace as longs as a player discarded an artifact or enchantment card this turn and indestructible as long as a player discarded a land card this turn. 3/3 Art: Green Vest by Dominik Mayer

At present, I don't have the mental facilties to say much because I just woke up and want to go back to sleep, but before I do that, vizionarius wins so I don't leave this challenge festering. I like your entry too @melano, but I think flow's a little too rude to oppenents that want to cast spells and activate abilities during their combat steps; if it were 'your combat step' or 'while ~ is attacking or blocking' I think I'd like it more.

{Judging} { Sanfonier of the Night}I love this! Great idea on having retrace on equipment in the grave. Awesome how the name of the card fits the feel of the abilities, and that it fuels itself without being too pushed in it. The art definitely feels fitting for this. I'm a fan. { Idea }Haha, nice little spin on the names in the flavor text. It seems pretty complex. I like the first part of the casting a card ability with dealing damage to yourself. If it casts a 4+mv card, he will return to the 4th card, which feels pretty far down to be really recurring. And even when he deals combat damage, he runs away. Doesn't feel as cohesive for me, but an interesting design nonetheless.

To celebrate Warhammer 40K Magic collaboration, let's make cards based on Sci-fi, space opera, scientific fantasy, and other space RPGS, choose an image of an space RPG cover, page or art and make a card. There is three catches: 1) It must have a dice related mechanic. (After all we are talking about RPG) 2) you must say from which RPG are you lending the art. 3) It must contain flavor text, if it don't fit in the card, put an addendum in your post, I want to hear your stories. (There is more than Spelljammer, Starfinder, Star Wars, Numenera, The Strange, RPGs out there, go ahead and discover one.) Good luck to all!

I could've pulled a Starcraft here, but that's an RTSG not an RPG, so I'll have to lead with the only space RPG I really know of, Spelljammer (even then it's more of a setting than a game in of itself but it was stated that it counts). Source and about art credits: The image seems to be official Spelljammer artwork from that setting's new book. I've looked at several sites that had the image, though none of them seemed to give credits (they consisted of articles talking about the new spelljammer races) outside of this art being referred to as official art, much less did they mention a specific artist. So I'm leaving it as Wizards of the Coast for the art credits.
