Uh... _separate_ from the defense happening above. It's a late night. So much happened today; Karina received an Entelan transceiver from Hannah, the 7CI was attacked...
The very same transceiver is now beeping lightly and brightly illuminating the room with a silvery-blue glow, with text across the screen:

I rolled back into my comfortable cave, relieved that the Arena job was finally over. I might have to stop in more often if that Hanska girl sticks around though, she really knows her stuff...
I reformed and looked around the lonely crypt. There was a curious object sitting in the same place Reyhs had left her note the week before.

The girl. Emil runs towards Karina, pointing a glowing white chain at her. "Ma'am," he begins, "I'm investigating a disturbance involving a 7CI agent - an auditory disturbance planted within Officer Lumen's hat, causing moderate brain damage and nearly causing severe physical injury. The prime suspect looks like you, according to Officer Lumen. Simply put, I'm going to have to detain you for questioning. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Fleur
This person has a weapon pointed at Karina! Why? She didn't do anything! Mom told me to have a dagger in case anyone tried to threaten us. If I'm not gonna draw it against this guy, why do I even have it? I draw my dagger and point it at the threatening man. "Karina didn't do anything and we're really busy right now!"

Sheathing it while running was going to be a difficult task but it was better than leaving it there.Hurry Instant  Target creature gets +1/+0 and gains haste until end of turn. ("Assisting" the "attack". I feel like odds are I'm the only one responding here with a card though. Although it looks like Cajun is supposed to rate your attack.)

Reyhsia, the Enduring Legendary Creature - Human Warrior Indestructible Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls exiles another permanent you control, return that card to the battlefield under your control at the beginning of the next end step. 3/3 I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed by this. The ability is far too situational to work, but an indestructible 3/3 for four can make it playable. Maybe as a sideboard card. Anyways, it fits very well the attack, so, that's a bonus point. 7/10 |

The transceiver initially only returns shaky breaths and what sounds like quiet sobs. "Karina! You're okay..." Hannah sniffs. "I... had a bad dream. We were going..." Deep breath. "We were going to go... to Entela..." Another sniff. Hannah's voice fluctuates, as though she were constantly getting farther from and closer to her transceiver. "I sent you first! So I could... so I could make sure everything went right. But something..." Sharp inhale. "Something didn't. You were in the tunnel, and then the tunnel didn't... and you..." Hannah cuts off into fully crying again.
"I watched you aetherize! Everything was gone...... except your transceiver. It sent a message to me.... 'This... is your fault'. I looked up and... the tunnel was broken... all of it, like someone tried..." Hannah breathes deeply for many seconds. "I... I just had to check..."I like Face the Flames a _lot_. Also doesn't appear to be busted. 10/10 Touched by Aether Sorcery Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in exile. When that creature dies this turn, its controller loses X life. As the condensed aether flooded into the chamber, Naivi's single, terrified screech echoed in the memories of the researchers who watched her die.

Whenever a creature becomes the target of a spell, you may copy that spell for each creature with the same controller that shares a type with it. Each copy targets a different one of those creatures. 3/3Alixila to copy Hurry for each of the Soldiers.

You'll have that thing up and running perfectly in no time. Then we can finally see Entela together."Inspired by Aether Instant Counter target spell unless its controller pays  , where X is twice the number of cards in exile. If that spell is countered this way, exile it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard. "Don't be so afraid of what was that you can't create what will be."
WindyDelcarlo Touched by Aether - this is a trick to evaluate. it's really bad in an exile light environment, maybe still underwhelming in a exile-heavy one? 4 mana sorc speed murder is generally not where one wants to be. flavor on this is a heartbreaker tho. 8/10

Hannah makes no noises but gradually slowing deep breaths for another few seconds. "You're right," she breaths out. Her words get gradually more energetic as she continues. "You're right. I know what I'm doing, way better than dream-me does. I'll make it work! We'll get to Entela, both of us, together." Hannah pauses for another moment. "Starting now, because there's no way I'm going back to sleep after that." There's some muffled background noise as Hannah likely starts moving around. "Did you get any sleep tonight? You know, before I contacted you."Inspired by Aether's flavor text is super good. It requires a bunch of setup to be any good but once it gets there it's amazing, which makes sense for a card that costs less than Cancel. Your time spent working on it was definitely noticed, 10/10 Insomnia Instant Until end of turn, whenever target creature becomes tapped, untap it at the beginning of the next phase.

Brainstorming Session Instant Until the end of your next turn, up to two target creatures each gain "  : Scry 2." The two talked throughout the night of what they would do. Come morning, they had finally fallen asleep, and ended up doing nothing at all.
Insomnia - now there's a unique wording, one that probably warrants reminder text but would be good to go when it gets it. Five untaps is nothing to sneeze at, but does take some doing to really abuse. that's why it's such a great insomnia card :^) 10/10 |

Brainstorming Session doesn't brainstorm and it makes me sad. I also have no idea _just_ how powerful this is? It does take something special to make it more than an awkward scry 4, so I'm betting it's fine. 8/10
(No need to continue this conversation beyond a possible response Karina might have to the sky-thingy mention; I'm sure they have a nice late-night conversation while Hannah tries to relearn how to work in the dark again.)

I slumped over onto Reyhsia, who had already fallen asleep. Everything else could wait until tomorrow. For now, all I needed was sleep.

For the first time in years, her dreams weren't filled with the terrors of Festenya, or the schemes of the hat.
After hours of prodding and questions from Tim and Karina, I finally drift back to sleep. From a million miles away, I felt Vijaya's hand reach out for mine again. Well then, shall we try this again?
I hesitated. I was in the bed again, Karina finally asleep in her chair next to me. I could feel my goddess waiting.
"I am sorry." I finally said. "My little bandar needs me more than you do. You can take that out on me later, but I can't leave her like this."
Her hand lingered. Very well. I could feel her smile. Just don't expect that trick to work forever. She faded back home.

Anyone who was awake that night would say they saw the sky ablaze with white light as it shot over towards the 7CI. As it approached, it faded in intensity. It went through the walls, straight down into the room Karina was sleeping in. The three streams suddenly reformed as pale versions of the family. Rose sat atop her father's shoulders, and Melody held his arm lovingly. They looked at the two sleeping. Aiden moved to where his -- Karina's spear was. He looked at her lovingly, and touched her forehead gently. He soon watched as Melody and Rose turned into light and entered the Sunspear. "Karina..." he whispered. "Just like the sun, I may be gone for now, but I will always return to you." he said softly, before following his family.---As Karina would dream that night, she would find whatever she dreamed of, whether nothing or an evil presence, replaced with a familiar dream. She would be sitting at a table with Aiden, Melody and Rose, happily eating dinner together, as the two giggled uncontrollably. Melody scolded them lightly. "Now hush you two, our other guests will be here soon." she said, and as if on cue there was a knock on the door. Aiden moved to open it, and the family would see Kirino and Reyhsia, smiling as they entered the abode. A few minutes later, following suit would be Arina and Hannah. Soon followed Rettai, and any friends she had made at the 7CI. The banquet flourished and overflowed, and the group would sit together and eat, smiling, laughing, practicing tricks and even a cute rabbit followed people in, playing with guests.Aiden, the Dreamer Legendary Creature - Spirit Soldier Humans you control get +1/+1. "What do you mean?" I asked.
She frowned. "When we met I could see you were 10 years old, now, you're 11. Didn't you know?""I guess not." It was getting hard to focus on the documents. "But, I did get presents yesterday, and I saw my friends, and you were safe. So maybe you didn't miss my birthday after all." I gave her a smile back, and hers seemed to get happier. Something felt... sad though.
I set aside the papers for the night and picked up the Sunspear. Something fell from it. I smiled sadly at the note, then set it with the papers.
You know, he didn't say when he was leaving... maybe if I was lucky for once I could still catch him before it got dark!

Given that Simic Charm just flat gives all your permanents hexproof with two other modes at 2 mana, I imagine this could either do something else (a cantrip, maybe) or cost a mana less. 7/10

I lightly put down my tools and start typing a message to Mom and Seiva. 「Helping Karina, I'll be back tomorrow morning. Don't worry.」 With that, I stand, grab a jacket, dagger, and a bunch of silver and yellow vials, and start walking. Ping.

Need to keep her connected until I get there.

I'm only still here because of you."But I wanna break my cluuuues :c Yeah this is good counter-draw. Doesn't completely destroy the caster but sure does hate cantrips. Probably wants to say "draws one or more cards" though, based on the second line. 9/10 Buy Time Sorcery Target player takes an extra turn after this one. Whenever a player casts a spell during that turn, counter it unless that player pays . Exile Buy Time. When you need more options, just about anything will do.

"What kind of friend would I be if I dragged you in?" I sniffed. "Everyone I do keep d-... keeps getting hurt. Reyhsia's in the hospital because of me. Aiden left... Kirino..." I'm trying not to cry, not sure if I'm actually succeeding. After a few seconds, her voice returns.

Karina, the Studious: Numbers being different feels weird, but legit I was thinking about doing the same premise as an attack. 9/10. [Guest System] (I feel like I'm cheating using this so much so I'll try and calm it down for a while I promise.) As Karina would talk to Hannah, about wanting to separate herself from her, her speartip slightly glowed. It was now or never. As she would talk or cry or both, a voice came in her ears- specifically not directly in her head. Who knew how badly the hat could have affected her? It was distinctly soldier like, and sounded almost like a memory. But she knew she had never heard Aiden speak these words this way before.Karina. I'm so...y. I ma... a mista...e and you su...ered.

Caring Touch - think the blue is just here for flavor (but hannah's been killing it with that so will have to let it slide) 9/10 grading at 3 am is a good idea guys 10/10"I... I did?" Reyhsia tried to protect me, and now she's in the hospital, almost dead, because of me. Aiden..." I close my eyes. "Aiden..." Please. Please wake up.
"I went to his house earlier. To... our house. And he... he was..." His skin is pale and cold.
"He said he would be back. And... he was... he was..." He wasn't breathing.
I took a breath and tried to stop myself from trembling. My voice was weak as I insisted. "No matter what I do, everyone around me gets hurt. I don't want to hurt you again. I can't. So... please."

Miss Kirino... I know what happened to her... I can guess I know what happened to Mister Aiden. Kind of. He was perfectly fine yesterday...

I take a deep breath. Karina needs me. Focus on her, not on Mister Aiden, not on Miss Kirino. Focus on her. "Karina..." I sit myself on my knees and lean forward to pull her into a hug. She needs it, even if she doesn't realize it. "I'm not going anywhere until you're feeling better."
"If I got sad or upset every time a device broke, I'd never get anything done. It's just kinda something you learn to deal with. Minor injuries and stuff happen all the time." I chuckle and sigh. "I've hurt myself more in only a couple days than you've ever hurt me."// For a moment, Hannah's weight seems to all lean against Karina as though she lost her balance. In another moment, her hug has accidentally pinned Karina to the floor, although her arm managed to find its way behind Karina's head before the two fell."Whoops, sorry. Are you alright?"I arch my back so I can look at Karina while I say this. "Hey, listen. I'm not sure of what's happened to you. I've only really been here a week and a bit, and I've never had anything really bad happen..." I smile. "But I'm gonna be here for as long as you need, alright? You don't need to worry about anything happening to me. I won't let anything happen to me."Blue-black doesn't pacify. It just makes it extremely painful to untap and more painful to actually attack with it. This sure is a creature that's given up. 10/10 Refuse the Inevitable Instant End the turn. At the beginning of the next end step, if you didn't control a blue and red legendary creature or planeswalker as you cast Refuse the Inevitable, discard your hand.
