Background Rodomonte, often called "Schevy", is the heir of the Cesarino Family, a well respected clan on his home plane, where goblinoids rule a majority of the habitable land. He underwent harsh training during his youth in order to take his father's place as the head of the house, but, like in many stories before his, a target was put on his head when he was only thirteen years old. In what later would be called "the gruesome ceremony", he and his father were attacked by unknown assaliants during Rodomonte's aunt's wedding. This caused him to spark, reaching a new world, alone and frightened, bloodied and injured. He had reappeared on a round stone table, surrounded by baffled knights. He would later know them as the "Knights of Altora", a kingdom in ruins in a faraway plane from his own. He woke up, spared by the curious men and given in custody to the King's wizard, who then had to keep him under his wing, even if Rodomonte was unwilling to learn the arcane arts. The strange kid covered in fur soon became part of the castle's life: many of the warriors took a liking to the troubled bugbear, full of spunk and energy at all times. When he finally gave up on trying to refuse the wizard's teachings, his talent for convocation spells made him renowned across the country, and rumors reached the King's opponents. With foreign kingdoms frightened by the menace that apparently had come from another world, the Kingdom of Altora was soon under siege, but Rodomonte lead the assaults on the enemies at the front, staying true to his family and to his race's roots, brutal in his ways of war. Having conquered lands for the King of Altora, he declared his debt to them repayed, having finally figured out how to utilize the power of planeswalking. And so, he returned to his home, now ruled by the usurpers. As the rightful heir of the Cesarino's throne, bringing his posse of men recruited in his time in Altora with him, now stronger than any being on his plane of origin, he laid waste to his old adversaries, filled to the brim with hate and thoughts of revenge. After bringing his world to its knees, he created a new system, based on hierarchy and duels, trying to merge what he had learned in his childhood and what he had assimilated in his years far away. Then at twenty-three years old, bringing part of his army with him, he vanished once again, leaving the plane for others to rule, with his blessing. He had no reason to stop conquering: it was the fun part of being a leader, after all. He wasn't fit to administer, that he knew. And so, his quest for war has reached the Arena. As he appeared on what he soon after named Rodent's Peak, he raised his family's amulet. A bright red light filled the valley he had before his eyes, hidden between mountains and hills, and there they were: his most trustworthy men and caravans filled with building materials. A city will rise, and many will follow.

In an otherwise normal day, a black cat runs through the caravans of Schevy's army. He weans a black robe, and a small knife hangs in his belt. He jumps on one of the carts and looks at the panorama. He soon approaches one of the goblins. "Meow I ask who owns all this carts? This valley was one of meow favourite places for rabbit hunting, but now you have frightened all the wildlife." With a serious look in his face, the cat awaits a response.Feline Inquisitor Creature - Cat Cleric Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, that player reveals their hand. A small looking human, maybe a teen, seeing a strange cat jump through the caravans, approached it, hearing his query posed to one of his most grumpy comrades. The bugbear in question, hearing the animal talk, growled a bit, confused, and answered in the nicest way he knew. "Aww fuck'off over there, will'ye? The boss won't talk to you if you interrupt him. And I ain't talking to a goddamn talking cat!" The kid quickly stepped in the conversation, telling his friend in a weird language of coughs and rattles to let him speak. "Do what ye want, Aris! I ain't talking with cats 'bout damn rabbits. I need a drink, aye."The human, wearing black leather decorated with a tabard depicting a white owl, bowed to the creature that had invaded the caravans. "I'm sorry for Tallone' s rude behavior, he's had a rough day. Master Rodomonte is building a city here, we've already undergone most of the preparations needed, as you can see from the holes we created for the foundations of the outer walls. We made sure not to invade too much of the wildlife's habitat. The rabbits have moved up north, where our Master is currently hunting, near Rodent's peak. But I think he's taking care of a monster that was scaring off herbivores in the first place. He'll be back soon, I assure you. Would you perhaps like a drink?..."He ponders briefly, intently studying Doer, as if trying to think up some drink that would suit his tastes. "Sweethoney milk from the cows of Alistora, where the smartest farmers of the Kingdom of Ultria craft the finest in the lands. Would that please you, while we chat, waiting for my Master?" Watchful Sentinel Artifact Creature - Construct Knight Vigilance 2/3 blueseclipse Watchful Sentinel: You forgot the rarity but it's probably fine both at common and uncommon, doesn't really matter. 8.5/10
A group of creatures, humans, goblins, gnomes, kithkin, notice the Sentinel standing there, while in the middle of what seemed like an expedition. Maybe they were out hunting, since some had bows on their backs, but they didn't draw their weapons, seeing the construct standing still, on their right, some hundred meters away. Drawing near to it, the one that seems to be the leader takes out of his pocket a small monocle with a a red lens, looking at the sentinel from ten meters away. Dressed in fine clothes, rapier on his hip and a small shield on his left arm, blonde long hair and green eyes, the human speaks, trying to communicate with the "invader", not knowing its intentions. "Excuse me, are you lost? Do you need... any help? What is your business in the land that our Master Rodomonte claimed?"Lens of Sparking Curiosity Artifact , Discard a card at random, : Draw a card. Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. , Discard a card at random: Lens of Sparking Curiosity deals damage equal to the discarded card's converted mana cost to each attacking creature. Activate this ability only once per turn. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Didn't actually know if the Sentinel was necessarily an attack, so I made this jank thing. He'd activate the second ability only in case it is, to be clear.

He'd activate the second ability only in case it is, to be clear. Lens is an interesting card... but the two abilities feel rather divorced from one another, both from a flavor standpoint and a mechanical standpoint. Flavorwise, I don't understand why a lens is both empowering random creatures and damaging creatures. Mechanically... I honestly think this would work as an Equipment, with the first ability putting the counter on the equipped creature and the second using the equipped creature's power rather than the discarded card's CMC. I particularly wouldn't want to use that second ability if I had a land or something cheap in hand, and is the color pair that is most likely to have a bunch of low-cost stuff to work with. 7/10. (Also, the first ability's cost should be , , Discard a card at random - costs are always formatted with mana, then tap/untap symbols, then text.)"I am not lost, no," the sentinel replies. "I am actually escorting a group of refugees who are travelling northward - I became aware of an encampment here, and felt it prudent to investigate, so as to ensure there would be no danger to them. I have not heard of your master Rodomonte before... I take it he has only recently arrived here on the Arena?" The sentinel examines the expedition stoically as he speaks, and as his gaze rests on the man who addressed him, one of his eyes takes on a reddish hue for a moment - seemingly mirroring the lens that the man is wearing. I'll leave it up to you whether you want to treat Sentinel as an attack or a gift - same for this next card.Adaptive Amulet Artifact Shaper's Bauble has all activated abilities of each other noncreature artifact with a counter on it. , : Put a charge counter on target noncreature artifact.

My paw moves away from my weapon, slowly. "I don't drink. It distracts meow from the hunt." I look directly into the kids eyes, with a malevolent gaze in my eyes. I don't harm kids, but fear is a tool. A useful tool. "Tell meow, kiddo... Who is your meowster? And why hasn't him asked me for permeowssion to hunt in meow dominion? I was here first." I take my weapon out, not menacingly, but with the swift grace of an expert and I start to sharpen it. The Weapon doesn't need sharpening, but this alway has a 'positive' influence in the other person in the conversation.Menacing Expression Instant Target creature you control gets +2/+0 and gains menace until end of turn. Damage can't be prevented this turn. "They can't block your hits if they are too scared to move." -Doer, Expert DismembererPeaceful Diplomat: Nice. I'm not sure if it needs the double W, but probably does. 8/10
