I updated my MSE for the first time in a hot minute by just downloading the most recent version of Magic Set Editor 2.1.2 on the Downloads page. Maybe it's just placed somewhere else, but I couldn't find the Modular option in any of the options for the M15 Mainframe Style, nor can I seem to find it as any of the other Styles. I want to say I recall it being a toggleable option as a Frame for the M15 Mainframe Style at one point, but I'm not positive. Any help?

No. We are waiting Cajun since he said he will do everything, but just need time. There's also a lot of aesthetic showcases missing and a bunch of mechanical things like prototype from Brother's War and Attractions template from Unfinity, we just need to be patient.

The typeline on Flowering of the White Tree isn't solid, though. The art does blend a little bit at the top.

Hello Cajun! I have made a style choice based off of code from the Udelude template. I'll give some examples of what I was experiencing with the altered template and what I have changed with it to make it more visually consistent. Firstly, This is an example of what the colors of a hybrid leveler used to do with "Hybrid name" set to "Hybrid": This is what it does now with some manual input on the dropdown menus on the arrows (or P/T boxes if you are reversing the colors): The red P/T might still be WIP as are some other colors for P/T, just because I don't like the way they look. But it's pretty completed. Sry, these colors are the default. I have merged my old code with these new changes, I'll see how it goes and update these pictures when I do. I'll push it when ready.
And some examples of the drop down menus: NOTE: This is using another script card_color_filter(value) and not card.card_color, so I hope that doesn't break anything. AFAIK the fact that it's editable and saving the value might make the load times a little more long. If this is a concern I would understand not wanting to use it. But IMO this looks better. If there's an automatic solution, that would be preferable. But I've had no success with trying to get that to work. Perhaps I will get an automatic version working, until then this is the best I got. (The P/T and arrow colors change automatically with the frame color changes when set to default.) Also, the colors of these cards are bright colors for the example. It's originally a W/B hybrid.

Hello again everyone! I've been away for a while (science never sleeps!) since I completed the last phase of my Star Trek:TG set, but now I'm starting work on a massive Dragon Age:TG set and I've run into a minor problem: I created my own custom watermarks as instructed by the various tutorials and I'm using them in Cajun's Mainframe. Everything shows up correctly in the dropdown menus and they work just fine if I have a "single" card format of M15 Mainframe (see "good" image attached).
However, once I try to use them in the DFC Mainframe (modal or transforming, doesn't matter), then they do work on the front/left-hand-side card, but not on the back/right-hand-side card (see "bad" image). The text is still there from the lists I created in the dropdowns, but the little planeswalker placeholder icons are gone for all of them (and only them). I can apply all the other watermark types, including the custom set symbol, just not the custom faction watermarks I made.
For the life of me I can't see why the problem is there, esp. since it works single cards and on the DFC left, but not the right...however, since only affecting my custom watermarks, the problem must lie there. Any help would be appreciated. Note I'm running ver.2.1.2 and my Mainframe is probably from about 1 year ago (I'm running a couple instances of MSE right now so as not to completely mess up my previous massive ST set), so hopefully you all are just going to tell me this was a bug that has since been fixed (as of X date/version).

Hello again all - wondering if anyone has some insight as to why I'm getting the above behaviour with custom watermarks on Mainframe DFCs? It is nearing a year since posting (although I know Cajun has a lot going on it seems) and, while I have had plenty of card-building to do on the Dragon Age set in the meantime, the set is nearing completion for first printing for play-testing (found a printer that does booster packs of custom cards) and I would like to resolve this.
In summary, all the watermarks are 500x500 black (with white transparencies) images, as instructed in the tutorials, and are all in a "da" folder inside magic-watermarks.mse-include/ (with names such as watermark_mages.png). The watermark-names file is as such:

What is then odd is that when you test putting a Strixhaven Silverquill watermark on the back-side of a Mainframe DFC, then it displays (but mine don't using the exact same code):
However, you will notice that the watermark is RB when it should be WB - it seems to be inheriting the color identity from the front face and not the back face, as it should be. This seems to be the case for all the different watermarks (such as Rav Guilds or Tarkir Clans), except for the Alara symbols:
Now, the Alara symbols are using the different coding in the watermarks file (compared to my watermarks + the Strix ones):
alara symbols Bant: script: set_combine(combine:"shadow", input:"/magic-watermarks.mse-include/watermark_bant.png")
...but this coding is used by some of the other defaults in the list which still show the wrong colors above (and if I change my watermarks from the "script: spotlight_watermark_blend" to the Alara "script: set_combine" type, then that does not solve the problem).
Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance!

I'm in the middle of my big DA set right now (has taken 2 years) and I'm generally loathe to install a new version until I have at least completed the full draft of the set, in case things break, but I might have to bite the bullet and try. I did have a look on Cajun's forum posts here regarding each successive update to Mainframe since my install and didn't see any discussion about this watermark bug and a fix, so I thought maybe hadn't been seen+tackled yet.

For others that wind up searching for a post about your DFC watermarks not working on the back faces: following the tutorials, I had placed all the proper indexing of the names+file locations correctly in the watermark-names file and the watermarks file, however upon examining the folder when I was copying over the newest version of MSE, I noticed the watermarks_back file. I had initially thought this was some "backup" file/copy from a previous instance of MSE (or legacy file that was being kept in the folder for a reason; especially since the other working files use hyphen and this file uses underscore), but turns out this is the indexing file for the back faces of the DFCs. I do not believe any of the tutorials/forum posts mention having to put the watermark designations in two places, but perhaps that is because such a need did not exist until more recently when the DFCs emerged. Seems to be all working correctly now!

Hey guys! Amazing work as always! You know something I could never get to work? Importing an image to use as a set symbol. I know I have to change from Symbol files to Images/MSE1 symbol files, but whenever I import a png image, it always looks like this. I'm sure there's something very basic and silly that i'm missing.

That's not actually what you do. You make six image png images. Underscore is not necessary. Then in your set info, scroll all the way down to the bottom. Note the folder paths. Ask if you need more help. Attachments:

nevermind, what you want to do is import a bitmap file, bmp. At least that how I get the best results. Make sure that the image only has pure white and pure black. If you are converting an image to a bmp that was a jpg, or some other compressed image, make sure to clean it up. PNG work too but I notice there are more artifacts, I'm guessing it might be the Make sure there are no artifacts in the image. It has to be pure black and pure white. If you have just a tiny bit not pure white, it will show up as an artifact.

There is a Battle template in another thread (https://magicseteditor.boards.net/thread/1980/custom-hi-res-frames), Cajun's got a lot of things they're (I don't know the pronouns) working on right now, so there's been a stall in uploads by them since March of the Machine. I hope things are going well for them in the meantime.
That being said, the Battles you describe are currently just the Siege subtype, though we have yet to see other subtypes or subtype-less Battles as yet.

Can somebody please help? I'm having problem implementing custom lesson symbols. Only the classic lesson symbol shows up even when trying to use any of the other icons at \data\magic-mainframe-extras.mse-include through the custom lesson symbol field in Style tab...

Lost Caverns of Ixalan Keyword/Type Update What's All This Then? • Updates the keyword file up through LCI's keywords, including Junk tokens and the renamed Umbra armor. Craft has a very complicated reminder text, so very strange craft conditions may not have nice auto-reminders, but the variants used in LCI will all work. • Updates the word_lists file for the new Artifact, Creature, Enchantment, Land, Plane, and Planeswalker types introduced since the last update, including the removal of Naga and change of Tribal to Kindred and a bug fix for Snow Tokens. • Planes have been reorganized into Standard Planes (those that have been the setting for a Standard-legal set), Planechase Planes (those that have been used on MTG Plane cards and not in the previous list), Other Modern Planes (those that are recently created but don't have Plane cards, such as Skalla and Tolvada), Very Old Planes (those without plane cards that haven't shown up in decades), and Dr Who Planes (those with WHO Plane cards.) Further Universe Beyond planes will get their own categories as they are printed. Well What Do I Do With It? Unzip the LCI Keywords folder, and inside will be a magic.mse-game folder. Put this in your MSE/data folder and let the two files overwrite.
Hey Where's... Yeah this is a small update given how long it's been since the last one. I have been trying to release the One Big Update for a while now and I just can't keep up with WotC anymore. Instead I'll be focusing on releasing stuff in useful chunks so y'all can at least get some stuff bit by bit rather than waiting another year for me to catch up :^)

Hello all again! Encountered a frustrating bug/error I may have caused: have been working on my Dragon Age sets and have three separate files, one for each game (Origins, DA2 and Inquisition) all running in the same MSE version. I created some new watermarks and made the mistake of putting a number ("DA2") in one of the list options (ie: in the watermarks-names and watermarks files) + corresponding watermark file name, which I remembered breaks the list files. Therefore I went back and corrected to "datwo" (all lowercase because I know it doesn't like capitals either) and now everything is working OK for the watermarks (in all 3 files).
Except, all of a sudden weird bug crops up after having fixed everything: my custom set symbol is no loner displaying in one of my sets (the DA2 one where I made the original file-naming/list labelling error). Not sure why this is happening since the watermark files (now fixed anyways) are independent of the set symbols and it is only affecting the one file (DA2) out of the three which are running in the same MSE (and hence experienced the same initial error and now also use all the same corrected files). Another oddity is that the symbol is missing now in all the "regular" cards of the set (mostly based on Cajun's Mainframe + DFCs), from white all the way through to end of basic lands, but then IS visible on the few tokens at the end of the set.
Anyone have any brilliant suggestions? I've checked for a "suppress set symbol" setting, which I don't see (and can't see why it would have toggled itself), I've reimported/remade the set symbol to no avail, and I've checked in the file archive (in the main "set" file) and don't see any obvious problem (ex: no reference to incorrect original "DA2" watermark labelling; set symbol file name pointer is correct; etc). I've searched online and there are of course many posts about making/problems with custom set symbols in MSE, but nothing like the current problem I'm facing.
Thanks to anyone with any ideas!
