"Alright, meowster, your loss. But when the meownsters are at your door, and you need someone to help you protect your precious meowterials, you know who not to call." With an offended expression, the cat turns and leaves. Preparations for round two: Get an armeowr from the plant guy. Failed. Later that day, or whenever Arandu decides to take inventory of his belongings, he may find one of his instruments missing, one chosen at random, and stolen out of spite. If he wants it back, the cat is not that difficult to find.Logical Failure: The wording on this should be "Search its controller’s library for all cards with the same name as that spell and exile them. Then that player shuffles." Looking at Test of Talents and Quash I think this should be at least uncommon, having it show up too often in draft may cause too much shuffling. 7/10

Bind Arandu's camp had already been cluttered, what with the number of odd items laying about exposed to the elements, but it seemed something had spurred him to expand his clutter further. Several circles of land, each about a house's width in diameter, had been cordoned off nearby, with a simple fence around each that was no more than a foot high, with each spoke bound together by what appeared to be a single strand of some unusual fiber.
In the center of one, Arandu was busy hammering a spoke made of that strange material the rest of his equipment was made of into the ground, the last of the trio it seemed. He finished just as Tokata arrived, wiping a bit of sweat from his brow before he looked up to see his guest. "It's good to see you my friend!" Arandu shouted across the camp, placing his hammer within a loop on his belt as he stepped over one of his cordons. His usual cloak, currently hung up nearby on a spare bit of equipment, had been taken off, leaving Tokata with the slightly dirtied sight of Arandu in simple work clothes. The sight was soon sheltered, however, as Arandu retrieved his cloak, returning to his usual appearance as he stopped in front of Tokata. A verse for Arandu's song (badum, tsh) Arandu chuckles at her observation, though he composes himself when the question of materials inevitably comes up. "Q'ayrumi," he answers, one of his hands moving to reach somewhere within his cloak. His hand stopped before it fully disappeared, and Arandu had a brief moment of thought before he pulled his hand back, empty handed. "It's a material from my home, though the best way to describe I suppose would be..."A randu turned to look at Imad, who last he saw had been circling the edges of his rudimentary gardens, before facing back to Tokata. "Well, the simplest way to describe it is the condensed fibers of plant matter, processed in a way to give it comparable durability to some metals."He picked up a tool at random from amongst his belongings outside the tent, what appeared to be a measuring device of sorts, and handed it to Tokata. In the early morning light, the material of the device seemed to shimmer with a waxy coating in some places. Arandu chuckles at her observation, though he composes himself when the question of materials inevitably comes up. "The exact process is a bit difficult to explain, but its my speciality," h e turned back to his gardens, and gestured towards them. "Hence the experiments to see if flora from my homeworld can flourish here, or if a suitable replacement can be sourced from this plane. In addition to regular foodstuffs, of course." Resonance Beacon: 10/10. Seems like a sidegrade to panharmonicon, and the "once each turn" is absolutely necessary if it's going to include lands. "Q'ayrumi..." she muttered to herself. The head and part of the handle of a metal rake emerged from the fog cloud as it began absentmindedly tilling the land. Tokata accepted the device, and played around with trying to determine its hardness. "Plant metal, huh? I wonder if I could make a mask out of it." Satisfied, she returned the device to Arandu. "Seems cool! Yeah, I'm sure Imad wouldn't mind helping out, and I don't mind letting him."Miracles of Science

panoptes Arandu's face hardened at the series of insults and claims against him. Poison, impudence, coward, words whose weight meant little when spat by the mouthpiece of the more insidious force between them. It was clear to the planeswalker that he'd made a grave mistake in getting involved, if avoiding the personal ire of this "Radiant Order," or at the least its current enigmatic leader, had been within the parameters for his mission here.
It was true, he abhored violence, but that did not make him opposed to its use. "Apologies, my friend, but you will have to return another time. My time has just been tyrranized by these individuals, and I'm afraid dealing with this will leave me ill-disposed to assisting you." Arandu makes a short wave to Arzokin, before he steps forward. Arandu reaches within his cloak as he met Lothaire on the designated dueling grounds, momentarily hidden before emerging with an usual star-headed mace, the shaft of which, unsurprisingly, appeared to be made of a similar material to the rest of Arandu's q'ayrumi possessions, yet the head was the only thing here that appeared to be made of metal. Holding it to his side, Arandu stood before Lothaire, brow furrowed, with an expression that was far different than what the knight would have seen of the man during the war for the sword. "State the means you wish to settle this dispute by, and we will do our part to abide by them."Boon Carrier Creature — Human Soldier Trample Boon Carrier gets +2/+2 for each permanent attached to it. 1/1 Merova Champion: I like the insidious use case of using this as a pseudo-lockdown aura, it makes it an interesting card. 9/10, although I will note I believe the attachment text is vague on what receives the counter.

...far different than what the knight would have seen of the man during the war for the sword.
The Knight laughs at Arandu's furrowed brow. "Very good." Though an invader could not be called an equal of the realm's champion, Syr Lothaire would not stoop low as to remain atop their steed against such an opponent. With a wave of a hand, Lothaire passes the reins to one of the knights accompanying them, while another steadies the saddle of their mount as they vault from the saddle—the circular glow of their armor upon the snow deepens as their boots strike the ground.
"We shall settle our claims to this land by single combat. We shall fight to the death or surrender, whichever is first—and here, the expectation is that one yields expecting mercy."
They step forward, and with flashes of light, conjure a backsword into one hand, shining as though pulled from a forge, and into the off-hand, a matching dagger held in reverse grip.
"We shall wield weapons of our choice—there will be no pretension that this is an affair fought on equal grounds. I shall use what power I see fit, and you may attempt to do the same."
Though it had been morning, the sun now aligns itself at high noon, to the side of the combatants, bathing the clouds beneath it crimson.
"I am Lothaire, champion of the Radiant Order, and hence Sanaerti. Should I prevail, your artifice will be removed from this Arena by the roots, never to be planted again."
Syr Lothaire pulls themselves into a readied stance that may seem familiar to those who had encountered Xaja or any other wielder of Selem. Though they are separated from Arandu by paces, one of their eyes shines red through their helm's visor.
"Now then... state your name and terms." Red Sun Enchantment Lands you control are Mountains in addition to their other types. : Target creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn. Arandu gestured for them to wait before he disappeared into his tent, taking a few moments before he emerged with an oddly shaped tool, at least to Tokata's likely observation. It consisted of a length of wood, with a handle positioned both at the end of the tool and another protruding at a right angle at least a foot out from the main body. At the opposite end, pointing towards the ground, was a metal tip, which seemed to indicate the head of the tool. Placed somewhat behind the head of the tool was an axle, which ran perpendicular to tool's main length. Notably, it didn't even contain Q'aruymi, or at least in any obvious capacity. "Now, this might be awkward, as I hadn't quite considered the issue of...well, a lack of footpower," Arandu admitted, standing there holding the tool for Tokata and Imad to see. "I'll need to demonstrate it anyway. I was asked to observe the usual practices, even if there was no one else from home to witness them available, but I think they'll understand if I abbreviate them." He gestured for the two to follow, returning to the field where Imad had begun previously. Stepping over the low fence, Arandu walked towards the center, where the spoke he'd driven in earlier remained standing. Resting the tool on the ground, Arandu turned to face a mountain in the distance, clasping his hands as he began to speak. "To those who cradle this world: we ask to be permitted to join your cycle, and bring new life to your body. We venture from worlds far from your own, and wish only to take part in the gift of nature, that all worlds are blessed with. We wish to stand with you, as the roots of our worlds mingle, and care with you, for the gifts we have grown, and start again with you, when all returns to the beginning." There was a pause for silence, with Arandu bowing his head to that distant mountain, before he gave a sigh of relief, and turned to walk back to his guests. "Usually there's a lot more people, and you have people more qualified to ask for permission, but I think this land is forgiving enough that I'll do." From within his cloak, how much did that thing hold exactly, Arandu pulled out a flask, from which he pulled off the stopped and handed it to Tokata. "It's chica, it's tradition to offer it to everyone attending, and I try not to enjoy it too much when there's work to be done. This is also my only flask." If Tokata accepted, she'd experience a bitter, milky fluid with a sour aftertaste, with Arandu taking a sip himself regardless of if she tried it or not. Slipping it back into his belongings, Arandu gestured for Tokata and Imad to follow him into the garden.
Picking up the tool once more, Arandu positioned the head of the tool against the soi, placing a foot against the axle as he tightened his grip on both handles. With a grunt of exertion, Arandu pushed the tool into the soil using his foot, before rotating the tool using the axle as it rested against the group, and ploughing up a small section of the soil.
Finished with his demonstration, Arandu turned back to the two observers. "Well, now we can begin. Imad, do you think you can use this?" Resting the tool on the ground, Arandu turned to face a mountain in the distance, clasping his hands as he began to speak. "Usually there's a lot more people, and you have people more qualified to ask for permission, but I think this land is forgiving enough that I'll do." Soil Rotation Sorcery — Return target land card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped. Flashback (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.) Bountiful Expansion: Neat, Lotus Cobra is mostly ganked because it's also on a creature, I think, but I like that you can turn this in when you've done all of your explosive mana fun. 8/10. Soil Rotation: 9/10. Yeah, Restore can have flashback. The name makes me think it's a play on Crop Rotation, though. True to Arandu's prediction, Tokata did not recognize the tool, but figured it was for poking the ground in some form or another. Tokata and Imad both followed as gestured, and bowed their heads upon realizing that a prayer was taking place. "A lot more people? Huh. On Ipharad us sages go around in small groups. That's cool, though, I'd never thought to make a party of it. And yeah, I think with all that happens here, planting some crops is one of the least egregious things you could do."Tokata accepts the flask, lifts up her mask, and takes a sip, expecting something vaguely bitter, and so does not seem surprised by the taste. She lowers the mask as she returns the flask, then both return to the garden. The mask nods, and the cloud moves forward to engulf the tool. While little of the handle remains visible, a glint of the head can be seen as it escapes the cloud only to be driven into the dirt. With a similar rotation and extraction of the tool, the cloud moves away, revealing a small portion of ploughed ground, similar to Arandu's. "I guess that's a 'yes'." Rites of Growth Enchantment Whenever you cast a spell from your graveyard, or a land enters the battlefield from your graveyard, if you control no creatures, create a 1/1 green Saproling creature token. Otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control.
