fluffydeathbringer is right in that wotc employees aren't allowed to look at custom cards. However, I'm sceptical how this rule is enforced, seeing that the company will most likely not surveil their employees' browser activities. I would argue, though, that they don't really need to look at what we're doing here. They are a quite large group of people who think about magic and designing cards as their full time job for years and we are doing that as a hobby. I doubt that there are a lot of ideas here in the forums that would blow away wotc employees and make them want to add you to their staff.
To assume that the designs you post here will somehow land you a job at wizards is unrealistic. But we are a fine community here that just enjoys being creative and sharing ideas, so if you have any good ones, tell us.

That depends completely on your personal preferences. I, for instance, take part in a lot of weekly design challenges like the keyword challenge or the Set Theme Game challenge. There are also threads to ask for balancing, finding fitting artwork and other stuff. I suggest you just browse the forums for something that strikes your fancy.
