As she focused, Zero sensed a blinding flood of magical energy all around her, as if the entire world was made of it.
In response to her question, the man gave Zero a strange look. "You know, I really can't say." He reached into a backpack she could have sworn he wasn't wearing just a moment ago and pulled out a small book with a blank cover. "I seem to have forgotten quite a bit. Do you know where we are?"You Are Powerless HereOngoing Scheme Your opponents can't cast spells, activate abilities, or block during your turn. As long as you haven't cast a spell this turn, Golem of the Witching Hour is a 3/3 Golem artifact creature. You Are Powerless Here - i originally missed the during your turn and thought this scheme was just mad broken. The part I'm most suspicious of here is block, but it's not the strongest without it and 4v1 should be able to get that abandon trigger before too long. 9/10

cajun Golem of the Witching Hour: Seems kind of awkward, given casting spells during your opponents' turns often keeps it from blocking, whereas casting spells during your own turn can usually be done after you attack. Then again, it can potentially let you stop it dying to attackers or kill spells if you can cast the spell at the exact right time. 8/10."Lysenda…" the man pondered Zero's words. "I see. I don't wish to raise your hopes unnecessarily, but there's a chance it may in fact be possible to return before disaster struck. Time on this plane is not always linear." The man smiles sadly. "And if not, there are many other planeswalkers here who might be able to help. Unfortunately, I doubt I am one of them; there are precious few circumstances in which I could stop the ongoing destruction of a city."Fated EncounterConspiracy Hidden agenda Whenever a creature with the chosen name enters the battlefield under your control, you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card. "I will gladly take hold of whatever hope I can find. I am prepared for disappointment, for I know that my search may prove fruitless. All the same, I must try." Novek set her face in a determined expression. "The destruction of the city had yet to happen when I planeswalked, but it will no doubt be the result of the spell."
I'm not sure whether or not to make this draw cards based on the number of suspended cards you own - it feels a bit weak if you have more than 2 suspended cards (something that's reasonably common currently in the format this would be going in), and I want to discourage building a deck where you just suspend 1 card and then draw a card every turn, ignoring the payoffs that scale based on the number of suspended cards you own; making this into another such payoff feels like it would fix that, but it would also introduce a very powerful draw engine that I'm not sure I want to be in the format... Fated Encounter: This is really cool. Looting attached to a specific, finitely-triggerable event is a very clean design, and although it would feel weird to play this in a mono-red deck, that's mainly only because red does a lot of rummaging. 10/10.

On one evening, in the dying sunlight, the scholar might notice that he had miscounted his collection of encyclopedias. Historical records of the region seem to have grown, both in number and in the thickness of each volume. Some of the children's stories seem to have turned into tales of chivalry, which are just as romanticized as the new histories. Already, the new realities are taking root, forcing aside memories of the old, though nothing seems to have been replaced yet, besides the children's stories.
