Inspired by too many games on Arena where I die to the fucking shuffler: Earth-Mother's Boon Legendary Enchantment Flash This spell can’t be countered. Hexproof, indestructible Earth-Mother’s Boon can’t be sacrificed. Whenever a land enters the battlefield under an opponent’s control, scry 1. When you control more lands than any opponent, exile Earth-Mother’s Boon.

Token p/t? Also the token having the ability instead of just the activation drawing you a card is because of token shenanigans? Or is there a deeper meaning to it?

Picture a humanoid Zombie riding a huge winged beast, that's also somehow a part of the Zombie, and the Zombie's skull has been cracked wide open, and the brains completely removed:
Voidskull Prodigy Creature--Zombie Specter Warlock Flying, deathtouch, deathtouch for planeswalkers Ward—Discard two cards at random. Whenever Voidskull Prodigy deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, that player or that planeswalker’s controller discard a card at random. 2/5

Have a female Naga planeswalker:
Ssssa, Devourer of Worlds Legendary Planeswalker--Ssssa Hexproof from mana values less than or equal to Ssssa, Devourer of Worlds’ current loyalty : Destroy target permanent, then put a number of loyalty counters on Ssssa, Devourer of Worlds equal to that permanent’s mana value. : Each opponent loses X life and you gain X life, where X is the number of loyalty counters on Ssssa, Devourer of Worlds. Then remove a loyalty counter from Ssssa, Devourer of Worlds for each opponent who lost life this way. ::L-15::: Exile all permanents your opponents control and all cards from your opponents’ hands and graveyards. You gain life equal to the number of permanents exiled from the battlefield this way plus the number of cards exiled from hands and graveyards this way.

As referenced here, these are the two designs I originally though of, one new:
Split Personality Enchantment--Aura Enchant creature or planeswalker Flash Enchanted permanent has haste. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, untap enchanted permanent and that player gains control of it. ---------------------------------------- “I’m not ourselves today...”
And one old:
Possessed Cultist Creature--Human Minion , Sacrifice Possessed Cultist: Create an X/X black Demon Horror creature token with trample and deathtouch. ----------------------------- “Please! I need a healer...” 1/1

Hydra Xenophile Creature--Hydra Wizard Trample, vigilance Hydra Xenophile enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. Planeswalkers enter the battlefield under your control with an additional loyalty counter on them for each +1/+1 counter on Hydra Xenophile Planeswalkers you control have “: Put a +1/+1 counter on Hydra Xenophile.” 1/1
I don't suppose any of you have so many homebrew designs that you can just stumble upon something you don't even remember designing. Here's something from a little over two months ago I designed in my sleep:
Sister Sylva Legendary Creature--Rhino Cleric Shaman Graft 2 Evolve Other creatures you control get +1/+1 and have trample. If one or more counters would be moved from Sister Sylva onto another creature, put twice that many of those counters onto that creature instead. Sister Sylva counts as two creatures for the purposes of convoke. Ward—Put two +1/+1 counters on Sister Sylva, then her controller creates two 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens. 0/1
For this next one, after losing to fucking eugene, again, I had an idea, that led to an emblem, that led to a planeswalker:
The Yawning Void, Manifest Legendary Planeswalker Flash The Yawning Void, Manifest enters the battlefield with a number of loyalty counters on it equal to the number of permanents that left the battlefield this turn. : Exile target nonland permanent. : You get an emblem with “All permanents have haste” and “At the beginning of each player’s end step, exile each nonland permanent that player controls.”

Urza's Hot Tub just gave me an idea: Urza’s Cocktail Bar Artifact , Exile a card from your graveyard: Seach your library for a card that has the same first word in its text box as the exiled card and reveal it. Shuffle, then put the revealed card on top of your library. This only looks at the words and ignores all other symbols. Altar of Dementia and Horizon Spellbomb can seach each other. By silver-border rules, they can probabaly also search Abjure, since the actual printed card counts. And now for something completely different: See it All Sorcery Turn target library upside down. All its cards are revealed until it is shuffled. Know it All Enchantment You may look at all hand cards, all single face-down objects and at the top card of each pile of face-down objects. (This includes libraries, planar decks and scheme decks.)I was thinking about making this a split card. Then one side became an enchantment. Maybe it can be a MDFC. Or maybe not. I don't know (it all).

Teleportal Accident Instant Return target creature to its owner’s hand. That creature’s controller creates a token copy of that creature, except its power and toughness are each half that creature’s power and toughness, rounded down, it’s a Halfling Horror in addition to its other types, and it has “Exile this creature when a nontoken creature with the same name as this creature enters the battlefield under your control” in addition to its other abilities.

So, this morning I woke up from a dream about a new block, and I was hoping someone could help me build it. Here's a short synopsis of the first set:
Prophecy can be a very strong force. But what if a prophecy outlives its intended subject? What if that subject famously, fatally, refused the call, and that prophecy lies dormant for centuries? What happens when it’s reawoken, with the full force of its compulsion, but no one person to answer that call? The Birthright has come into port, and whomever can crew her best through her journey will find their lives very soon becoming a lot more complicated.
And here's what I have so far:
Adept Navigator Creature--Dwarf Advisor When Adept Navigator enters the battlefield, plot a course. (Create a Chart, a colorless artifact token with “, Sacrifice this artifact: Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that card into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.”) 1/2
The Birthright Legendary Artifact--Vehicle Whenever The Birthright enters the battlefield, deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, or at the beginning of your upkeep, plot a course. Whenever you'd create one or more Charts, create twice that many instead. Whenever The Birthright is crewed by a Dwarf, it gains vigilance until end of turn. The same is true for lifelink and Cleric, flying and Vedalken, ward and Wizard, deathtouch and Naga, menace and Rogue, haste and Goblin, first strike and Warrior, trample and Elf, and reach and Archer. Sacrifice five Charts: Search your library for a card, put that card into your hand, then shuffle. Activate this ability only if The Birthright is a creature. Crew X X/X (Story Spotlight card)
Chart a Course, with new flavor text of “Mr. Navigator, not so close to the rocks next time, please? Thank you!”
Trusty Sextant Artifact , Exert Trusty Sextant: Plot a course. (Create a Chart, a colorless artifact token with “, Sacrifice this artifact: Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that card into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.”)
Redraw the Map Instant As an additional cost to cast this spell, tap and exert an untapped creature you control. (An exerted permanent won’t untap during your next untap step.) Plot a course. (Create a Chart, a colorless artifact token with “, Sacrifice this artifact: Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that card into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.”) Retrace (You may cast this card from your graveyard by discarding a land card in addition to paying its other costs.)
I figure the block will have a heavy nautical theme (moreso than Ixalan block did), and, in order to distinguish it from the Legacy saga, there will be no protagonists, or rather, no sapient ones, and The Birthright will be the protagonist. There'll be a minor theme of teeth-clenched teamwork and anti-tribalism, in that you'll be rewarded for controlling a diverse array of different creature types. If tribal strategies are going tall, this will be going wide.
So, anyone wanna help?
EDITING to keep everything together. I awoke from a dream this morning with this in my brain:
Fishing Boat Artifact--Vehicle Whenever Fishing Boat deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker, create X Food tokens, where X is the total power used to crew Fishing Boat. X can’t be greater than 3. Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or greater: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.) 3/3
Another card designed in my sleep:
The Failed of Birthright Creature--Shade Archer : The Failed of Birthright gains reach until end of turn. : The Failed of Birthright gets +1/+1 until end of turn. , : The Failed of Birthright deals damage equal to its power to target attacking, blocking, or tapped creature. 0/1 (Story Spotlight card)

Mechanic I came up with for a desert faction, flavor is that the creature is "forsaken" to the desert but comes back stronger. Mechanically I figure it's an interesting way to play on +1/+1 counters and ETB triggers: Forsake <cost> (<cost>: If this creature has no +1/+1 counters on it, exile it. At the beginning of your upkeep, return it to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.) Some example cards: Wayward Soul Creature - Spirit ~ has flying as long as there's a +1/+1 counter on it. Forsake 1/1 Sandstorm Barbtail Creature - Demon When ~ enters the battlefield, destroy target creature. Forsake 2/2 Angel of the Mirage Creature - Angel Flying, Lifelink, Deathtouch Creatures you control with +1/+1 counters on them have lifelink. 4/4

On ██/██/20██, 00:██, Lab Tech Abe Zhabramy got drunk and put a copy of Rewind and a copy of Dismiss (most recent printings, mint-condition for each of them) through 914 on the "Very Fine" setting, and this popped out. This was the first time 914 had had any contact with the card game Magic: the Gathering. When interrogated after he sobered up, his response was "I half expected it to spit out something with horshers. I guess that'll only happen on the lowest settings, huh?"
Remix Instant When you cast this spell, add . Counter target spell. Draw a card.
Dr. Clef: Oh, hey! I remember this game; I used to play it back during the Satanic Panic!
O5-██: Why does that not surprise me?
Dr. Clef: Request permission to conduct more Magic-based testing with Abe and 914.
O5-██: Granted, but with extreme reluctance and trepidation.
NOTE: After ███ subsequent tests with Magic cards on each of the Rough, Coarse, and 1:1 settings, only one test produced another Magic card, this one with Mointainspalk. The card used was a beat up (Heavily Played) old Veldrane of Sengir on the Coarse setting. To date, this test has not been reproduceable.

Ever wished you could turn an Aura into an Equipment? Well, now you can!
Quicksilver Actuator Artifact--Equipment Imprint—As Quicksilver Actuator enters the battlefield, you may exile an Aura card with "Enchant creature" from your hand or a graveyard. If you do, Quicksilver Actuator enters the battlefield with all non-Enchant abilities of that card, except all instances of “enchanted” are replaced with “equipped”, and “Equip , where X is half the exiled card’s mana value, rounded up.”

I just thought, it sure would be fun to combine all the Lieges into one card. So I made a card that could do it: Similimitator Creature - Shapeshifter Before you shuffle your deck to start the game, you may reveal this card from your deck and exile any number of creature cards you drafted that aren’t in your deck with different names that all share a complete word in their name. At all times, Similimitator has all abilities of cards exiled with cards named Similimitator. 4/4 And yes, if you draft two of those, you can reveal both and exile bringers and voices. If your cube supports it...

So, I had the idea to make Omniscience* part of a cycle, but I only had two ideas:
Greater Necromancy Enchantment You may play cards from any graveyard, you may activate abilities of cards in any graveyard, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to pay costs of cards in graveyards.
Omnivitalism Enchantment When Omnivitalism enters the battlefield and at the beginning of each end step, your life total becomes infinite.
Do any of you have any ideas as to how to do the others?
*Which really should've been named Omnipotence, because Omniscience translates to "All-knowing", and what Omniscience does seems more like being "All-powerful", which is the translation of Omnipotence, but I digress**
**Don't even get me started on Waste Not, which should've been named Skullduggery. It was even one of the options (WotC outsourced the naming to the players, with a few options), but I guess there's too many uncultured, only semi-literate oafs out there!

I don't know if I'm good with these names (my native language is neither english nor latin). Here are two proposals for the red one: Omnimemoria Enchantment You may play cards from exile and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to play those cards. Omnivotum Enchantment Once each turn you may cast a spell from outside the game you own without paying its mana cost.

Of course Discordant Dirge is in here, it's always the middle page, especially if there is no middle page!:
Hymnal to Tourach Artifact Spend only black mana to cast this spell. Hymnal to Tourach enters the battlefield tapped with X page counters on it. Hellbent—, Remove a page counter from Hymnal to Tourach: Target opponent discards a card at random. If you have no card in hand as you activate this ability, you may pay for each of your opponents to overload it. , Discard a card at random: Put a page counter on Hymnal to Tourach. When there are no page counters on Hymnal to Tourach, exile it.
Here's one inspired by the flavor text of Healer's Flock:
Field Hospital Artifact Whenever you gain life, remove that much damage from among creatures you control. : You gain 1 life.
Have an Un- card, because it had to be done:
Hymnal to Turok Artifact Spend only green, white, and/or red mana to cast this spell. Formidable—Hymnal to Turok enters the battlefield tapped with X page counters on it. If creatures you control have total power of 8 or greater as you cast this spell and when Hymnal to Turok enters the battlefield, it enters with an additional X page counters on it. , Remove any number of page counters from Hymnal to Turok: Create a green Dinosaur creature token with trample and base power and toughness each equal to the number of page counters removed from Hymnal to Turok this way. When there are no page counters on Hymnal to Turok, sacrifice it.

Inspired by a game on Arena with Knob on the End* where I was stuck on 4 lands for 4-7 turns:
Land Boon Legendary Enchantment Kicker (You may pay an additional as you cast this spell.) This spell can’t be countered. When Land Boon enters the battlefield, if it was kicked, draw a card. Hexproof, indestructible Land Boon can’t be sacrificed. Whenever a player would draw a card, if that player controls fewer lands than any of their opponents or is tied for fewer, they may instead reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a land card. If they do, that player puts that land card onto the battlefield and the rest of the cards revealed this way on the bottom of their library in a random order.
*Note to self: post decklist over on Tosche Station.

Ever wish your creature could legitimately sing I'm Every Woman? Well, have an Un- card:
Schizophrenic Clone Creature--Nightmare Shapeshifter You may have Schizophrenic Clone enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield in addition to itself. If you do, Schizophrenic Clone keeps its abilities. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may have Schizophrenic Clone become a copy of another target creature in addition to any other creatures it is or is copying. If you do, Schizophrenic Clone keeps this ability. 1/3
Finally, my Scornful Egotist deck can be complete!
Aetheric Might Enchantment--Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature has base power and toughness each equal to its mana value.
Strength of Aether Instant Target creature gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is that creature’s mana value.
I designed these next four in early 2011, after watching this:
Fozzie Bear Legendary Creature--Bear Tell a bad joke (no longer than 2 minutes): Fozzie Bear deals 1 damage to any target. :, , Tell a really bad joke (no longer than 10 minutes): Fozzie Bear deals 3 damage to any target. --------------------------------------------- “Wocka, wocka, wocka!” 2/2
Dang Grand Un- Creature Type Update spoiled the synergies:
Gonzo the Great Legendary Creature--Alien Affinity for Chickens (This spell costs less to cast for each Chicken you control.) Gonzo the Great’s toughness is equal to the number of Chickens you control. Forecast—, Reveal Gonzo the Great from your hand: Create a 1/1 green Chicken creature token. (Activate this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn.) Tap three untapped Chickens you control: Gonzo the Great gains flying until end of turn. 4/*
And of course, those two:
Statler Legendary Creature--Elder Human Advisor Partner with Waldorf (When this creature enters the battlefield, target player may put Waldorf into their hand from their library, then shuffle.) : Counter target nonmana activated ability unless its controller pays . Creatures you control named Waldorf get +1/+2. 0/1
Waldorf Legendary Creature--Elder Human Advisor Partner with Statler (When this creature enters the battlefield, target player may put Statler into their hand from their library, then shuffle.) : Counter target triggered ability unless its controller pays . Creatures you control named Statler get +2/+1 1/0
Watch out for the spiderweb on your way out:
Funnel Web Creature--Wall Defender, reach , : Search your library for a Spider card, reveal it, shuffle, then put that card into your library second from the top. , Sacrifice an Insect, : Search your graveyard for a Spider card, reveal it, and put it into your library second from the top. 0/4

So, I was reading this, when I noticed that the section titles are cardnames. I thought "Oh, that's clever", but when I got to Stirring Address, I had to look it up. One trip to Gatherer later, this popped into my head:
Austere Judgment Instant Choose one— • Exile target creature with power or toughness of 4 or greater. • Exile target creature with power or toughness of 3 or less. Overload (You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of “target” with “each”.)
Similar to my earlier "build-an-Equipment" post, here's a build-a-creature-land:
Humble Abode Land Imprint—As Humble Abode enters the battlefield, you may pay the mana cost of a creature you control and exile that creature until Humble Abode leaves the battlefield. If you do, Humble Abode enters the battlefield tapped. : Add or one mana of any of the imprinted card’s colors. Pay the mana cost of the imprinted creature: Humble Abode becomes a copy of that creature until end of turn and keeps its own abilities. It’s still a land.

Since the land replaces a creature you control, I think it wouldn't be broken if you didn't need to pay the mana to exile the creature.
