Tavil, Operations Specialist is fine as a card (I like planeswalkers with alternatives to plus abilities) but I'm failing to see how it responds to my challenge, I'm assuming you're using the creature killed by my card as fodder for the first ability in which case I'm sorry, but that doesn't get as much points (it may be a pet peeve of mine, but I prefer cards that deal with the challenge rather than with its consequences). 6/10.
"Get to safety?! Do you even know who you're talking to?! I'm not sitting until getting contacted, I'm going to face her as soon as possible, with or without your help! Tell this "Lance" he's free to join me when he's ready..."

notdaedalus "So, the original deal I was inclined towards was fairly simple; you show off a piece of technology, if we're interested we'll take it apart to find out how it works, and either way, one of our arcanists will give you a mini-lesson on an aspect of spellcasting. As far as compensating for the ruin of our front yard, I see a couple of ways we could handle that; either you give us a few pieces of technology to start things off before share any more info, or we keep the original deal but you owe us a favor at some point in the future. If either of those seems reasonable, I think we can still do business; Severin here will handle the technology, and the magic instructor will be here shortly." cajun — Homeward Bound: Compared to Sunken Hope, which this is a stronger effect than, this seems massively undercosted. Six mana seems fair, probably. Still, it's a cool effect. 7/10"Good work; I suppose your lessons haven't been wasted after all. Aiea's probably going to be the one making contact; want to shadow her when she does and get to see close-up how Public Relations operates?"Aiea, Weary Diplomat Legendary Planeswalker — Aiea : You gain life equal to the number of token permanents you control. : Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain hexproof until your next turn. : Create two 1/1 white Spirit creature tokens with flying. (Can use the -3 over and over by repeatedly bouncing herself with Homeward Bound.) Neottolemo — Rapid Departure: I'll admit to having been concerned by the first sentence, but this actually turned out to be a quite slick Path to Exile variant. That said, given that it's a Path variant, it likely ought to be uncommon. 9/10The spirit nods to Hyle as she departs, then turns to her companion. "High Builders? Do you know who that refers to?" Tam shakes their head. "No idea, but I bet Enfys does. I'll head down to the archives and pick her brain, then get you up to speed tonight."Enfys, Winterborn Archivist Legendary Planeswalker — Enfys : Choose a card name, then reveal the top card of your library. If that card has the chosen name, put it into your hand. Otherwise, you may put it into your graveyard. : Choose a nonland card name. You get an emblem with "Cards with the chosen name can't be cast." : Draw cards equal to the number of differently named nonland permanents you control. (Her +1 gets value from knowing what got tucked.) ThatDamnPipsqueak — Grim Temptation: This is an absolutely beautiful self-hoser in the style of Gainsay. Consider suggesting Tumbles include it in his self-hoser cycle. 10/10"You hear correctly. And while a lack of interest could be arranged, assuming you can suitably demonstrate you're not going to be directly working against us, I suspect you might find our interest more useful to you than its absence. Your call, of course."Rettai, the Supplier Legendary Planeswalker — Rettai : Each player draws two cards, then discards a card. : Return target permanent to its owner's hand. That player gains 3 life and can't cast spells with the same name as that permanent until your next turn. : Take another turn after this one. At the beginning of that turn's upkeep, each opponent draws a card and untaps all permanents they control. (Can't be stolen, and can bounce whatever you stole for value.) WindyDelcarlo — Expansive Research: Not especially exciting or innovative, but a solid cantrip. Some people might find the selective mill unfun; I'm not one of them. 9/10The young monk nods to her. "Well, you've found one. As for Kirino Oblay? Yes, we're quite concerned about her. She's destroyed a plane in the past and shown indications of having an inclination do so in the future. She's also been trying to provoke people into killing her, for as yet unknown reasons. Furthermore, we've had a recent albeit unconfirmed report of her assaulting one of our agents. In any case, she's here in the Arena and likely the greatest local threat; we have her under surveillance. I'd advise avoiding direct confrontation with her, as she is both extremely durable and capable of causing massive collateral damage. Is there anything in particular you're trying to learn?"Kunal, Traitor to Atarka Legendary Planeswalker — Kunal : Target creature you control gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of cards you've drawn this turn. : Kunal becomes an 2/1 Monk creature with prowess until end of turn. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to him this turn. : Exile X target instant and/or sorcery cards from your graveyard. You gain 1 life and draw a card for each card exiled this way.

"As such, if she is truly the most dangerous local threat and possesses this amount of power, I must know anything that may be a risk when I move to engage her."I kinda really, really want to play Kunal in Highlander Miracle-Gro now. Also fits the challenge of answering a cantrip. 10/10 (Arina is not casting this against the 7CI but you can consider it as an explanation of her intention to bring down Kirino.) Suspension of Life Sorcery Put a -1/-1 counter on any number of target creatures. , Exile Suspension of Life from your graveyard: Exile target creature if it has a -1/-1 counter on it.

notdaedalus — Solar Panel: An eminently bland but well-balanced design. 8/10Severin examines the panel, then throws his head back in maniacal laughter, only stopping when Rettai glares at him. "Sorry, boss. I just... it's a solar panel. It's a completely ordinary solar panel. That's it. I think the bot's drastically underestimated the kind of technology we have access to, or we've overestimated what we can be getting here—if Zero's home plane still uses solar panels for power they're a 7 tops, or Zero's deliberately giving us obsolete tech." Rettai turns back to Base Zero. "As for your terms... blood samples from my agents? Unrestricted access to the same student of mine you just demolished my facade trying to kill? Do you think I'm an idiot? No, here's the new deal—if I see you trying to attack or harass any of my students or agents again, or if I catch you trying to technologically uplift a plane, I'll have Severin here disassemble you to figure out how your spark works. Now get out of my base, Zero."Severin of Galvan Legendary Planeswalker — Severin : Sacrifice an artifact. If you do, draw two cards, then discard a card at random. : Target artifact's owner shuffles it into their library. : You get an emblem with "Artifact spells you cast cost less to cast." WindyDelcarlo — Suspension of Life: We haven't gotten a one-sided mass -1/-1 until EOT for less than , much less a mass -1/-1 counter, much less with an effectively unconditional exile stapled to it. In short, while this is a cool design, it's a bit too pushed developmentally. At , I'd love it. 8/10"I won't try to stop you, then, but you're going to need a lot more firepower than that. To use a comparison that might be familiar to you as a Volarian, she could likely survive an Entelan core overload at point-blank range with only moderate injuries. In addition, I'd suggest luring her onto an uninhabited plane if possible; as I said, planar-scale collateral damage is a concern. As far as her capabilities, beyond what we've mentioned... access to blue and red mana. Both tactical- and strategic-scale pyromancy, preferring but not limited to the explosive sort. Empathic abilities including mind-reading, emotional manipulation, natural and unnatural mental influence, and enhanced social abilities. Political savvy with an anarchist/populist bent, enhanced by the aforementioned empathic power. Manipulation and disruption of other mages' mana. Physical near-invulnerability. And, apparently, she wants to die but is unable to, despite the amount of firepower available to her."Kunal, Scholar of Strikes Legendary Planeswalker — Kunal : Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. When it deals combat damage to an opponent this turn, draw a card. : Tap target creature. It doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step. : Target creature you control gets +4/+4 and gains flying and trample until end of turn.
7CI Secure Missive — Burn After Reading TO: Dack Fayden FROM: Rettai Ba'alzur, Interim Director SUBJECT: Calling in Favors Dack, I'm going to need that favor you owe me. Something big is about to happen on the Arena (coordinates attached), and I want you in position to steal whatever it is when it does. Put together a crew suitable for a heist or long con and have them on standby—I'll provide transport for them if needed.
Rettai Ba'alzur has reached 300 score and gained access to Conspiracy!

(Her +1 gets value from knowing what got tucked.) Enfys: This gets her flavour across very well - she knows things. That ultimate is very fancy, with a lot of build around potential, and the ::+1::'s self mill uses are a neat addition. One awkward thing is that the ::+1:: and the ::-6:: pull in different directions, because one wants you to have a lot of stuff with the same name (or to have a lot of stuff that benefits from self mill) and the other to have a lot of stuff with different names. Still, the flavour makes it work relatively well. 8/10

"Thank you very much. I believe I have a more powerful method at my disposal, but your warnings are welcome." Arina steps away from Kunal and planeshifts away without further words.
I'm never quite certain about how to balance two mana planeswalkers. I think this plus is too much at 2? Since it's a curious obsession that keeps getting bigger and has other upsides, and that card is nuts. 7/10

A vedalken dressed in typical Gateless Ravnican fashion appears in the Seventh Circle's local headquarters. "What the hell were you thinking, Director? Going up against a Class 7 as a training exercise? We're all lucky Tavil kept his wits about him and called me; I've got a strike team hitting her in five." Rettai whirls around, his normally calm face twisting in rage. "Do I need to remind you that at least for now, you report to me? Did you consider talking to me before interfering in the middle of an operation?" "You don't, and I'm sure you don't need me to remind you that I have full discretion over the details of combat operations. We can discuss the details later—I need to be onsite when my agents 'walk in."

That said, we've already identified the cause of the explosion—the construct known as Base Zero detonated a powerful and quite technologically advanced bomb, apparently to attempt to kill her."Karina, Student of Spycraft Legendary Planeswalker — Okus As you reveal Karina from your hand, you may search your library for a non-Okus planeswalker card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library, then put Karina on top of it. : You may move up to two loyalty counters from target planeswalker onto Karina, Student of Spycraft. : Each player draws two cards, then discards two cards unless they discard a planeswalker card. cajun If you'd like to post some Karina dialogue, go ahead; I don't feel like I can write her accurately at the moment.

"Hello? This is Hyle Seritani, is anyone there? I realise this might be a bad moment, but I've got a short message here. I'm leaving it here for whoever takes care of these things to read later, is that alright?" Hyle is carrying a letter about her meeting with Karina, in which she expresses worries that Karina might be suffering from hallucinations, given that she clearly said 'Out!' out of the blue while only the two of them were there and then proceeded to ignore that and carry on the rest of the conversation as though as nothing happened. The letter ends with Hyle apologising that she does not know of any other authorities to refer to on the plane, and that's why it was brought to 7CI.
In the Details Sorcery Each opponent reveals their hand. You may search your library for a card that shares a name with a card revealed this way, reveal it, then put it in your hand. If you do, shuffle your library. Otherwise, draw a card.

"Well, can't say I didn't try."
In reality, the robot had underestimated the technology that those arrayed against them would display. Still, no matter. While the blood samples would have made things easier, it was no matter. It would just mean the plan would take longer. And Base Zero was nothing if not patient.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you, but now I must go. Thanks for the offer of the deal, but I will be just fine."
It paused.
"Oh, and don't bother coming after me. I think I shall be gone for a while. Still, I guess it is only polite to leave you with some information. You see, I am aware of the fact that only organic beings can spark."
It turns to planeswalk away, and a hint of smugness enters it's synthesised voice.

Severin of Galvan - 8/10.

fluffydeathbringer — Wealth of Madness: I'm not entirely sure that I like that this is a seven-mana Divination for red, but the effect is cool and out-of-the-box enough I don't much mind. I also think I'd prefer Jewel as a token name than as a subtype, like on Tezzeret's Etherium Cell. Despite that, I think this merits a 9/10. Severin, Salvage Engineer Legendary Planeswalker — Severin : Draw a card, then discard a card at random unless you sacrifice an artifact. : Create three colorless artifact tokens named Scrap. : You get an emblem with "Whenever an artifact enters the battlefield under your control, you may put the cards in your hand on the bottom of your library in any order. If you do, draw that many cards." Severin is captivated indeed by the jewels, yet sees only their utility and none of their beauty. "Look at it! Perfectly symmetrical—the energy density has to be through the roof. And with how many there are... this could run the powerplant for weeks." He sets about excitedly scooping up the gems and shoveling them into a convenient fuel chute.
