Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and forty-seventh challenge! The winner of the "10 characters or less" poll was sade612 with...And the challenge issued by our runner-up was... Design a card that uses the top card of your library as a randomizer. Simple card draw doesn't count - your card should reveal the top card of your library and do something based on its characteristics. Think Counterbalance, Delver of Secrets, Lost in the Woods, Putrid Cyclops, that sort of space. (With careful deckbuilding, of course, these effects are often not truly random.) To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

{Old1} WIP (feedback appreciated, mainly needed on how I should cost this card) The Element of Suprise Enchantment At the start of each upkeep, reveal the top card of your library. You may cast any card from your hand that shares a type with the revealed card as though they have flash until end of turn. (For example, if you reveal an artifact creature card, you may cast artifacts and creatures from your hand as though they had flash)

EDIT: Ok, this I really like! Just onetwo slight problems: you forgot the apostrophe in "card's", and you misspelled Weird.
Entry:
Xenophobic Pyromancer Creature--Efreet Wizard , : Xenophobic Pyromancer deals 2 damage to target player or planeswalker. If damage is dealt this way, you may reveal the top card of your library. If you do, you may pay , where X is that card’s converted mana cost. If you do, Xenophobic Pyromancer deals X damage to target creature controlled by that player or that planeswalker’s controller. 2/4

Hunt For Orazca Enchantment — Saga Ascend (If you control ten or more permanents, you get the city’s blessing for the rest of the game.)I, II: Reveal the top card of your library. If it’s a land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped. Otherwise, put that card into your hand. III: Whenever a creature enters the battlefield this turn, if you have the city’s blessing, draw a card.

I was trying to think of a way to get in a combat phase after each opponent's, but the way the rules are worded means the active player always declares attackers, so the mechanics for having a combat phase during at opponent's turn would be wordy, to say the least.

The art is from Jace's origin story. As far as I know, it hasn't been used on any card yet. Future Bending Enchantment Play with the top card of your library revealed. You may cast spells that share a card type with the top card of your library as though they had flash. EDIT: Made it :1: cheaper; added name and render.

Pretty sure I can reduce the words on this spell, but not sure how. Sigil of Chaos Enchantment Whenever an opponent casts a noncreature spell, you may reveal the top card of your library. If the revealed card's converted mana cost is less than the opponent's spell, Sigil of Chaos deals damage to that opponent equal to its cost. Otherwise, Sigil of Chaos deals 2 damage to you. {Old 1} Whenever an opponent casts a noncreature spell, look at the top card of your library. You may reveal that card, if the converted mana cost of the revealed card is less than the opponent's spell, Sigil of Chaos deals damage to that opponent equal to the revealed spell's cost. Otherwise, Sigil of Chaos deals 2 damage to you.

@ Tesagk : Why would you reveal the top card of your library if your card has a higher CMC than the spell your opponent casted? To shorten the wording and make the card more fitting to its name, I'd simply drop this. New wording would simply start with "Whenever an opponent casts a noncreature spell, reveal the top card of your library. If.."
That aside, this challenge was clearly made for my Luvion mechanic - showcased with a new card:

Fluctuating Aegis Artifact Play with the top card of your library revealed. Spells you control that share a type with the top card of your library can't be countered. Permanents you control that share a type with the top card of your library have hexproof.

Attachment DeletedClandestine Acts Sorcery Scry 2, then reveal the top card of your library. Target opponent reveals their hand. You choose a nonland card from it that shares a card type with the top card of your library. That player discards that card. Even the most carefully laid plans are vulnerable to even more careful meddling.
