Hardened Jailer - feels a bit nonwhite? similar to Archon of Justice but the dies trigger feels more than the ETB does. 8/10 |

Aiden wakes with a start from his nap, sitting on a chair inside his shack. He looks towards the window, as his spear glows slightly behind him before quieting down. It’s been a while since he’s seen anyone. Meeting Hanska, the events of 7CI, dealing with the fox guy. He had just sort of... locked himself up in his shack. It had been almost a week at this point. He stood up and stretched. He felt better than the last time he awoke like this. Something tugged at him in the back of his mind, but he ignored it. He opened his door. “What a nice—“ he said, before tripping and falling, tumbling onto his back. He laid there, staring at the sky, taking in what just happened.
Then he started laughing.
Aiden has spent 100 valor to increase his CMC level to 11!

As Mei introduces herself to Aiden with a fake name, the earth shudders violently. It spontaneously splits open, creating a massive crack many layers deep. It doesn't take a genius to know who caused this, but it may take one to realize that following the crack will probably lead to its source...Devouring Fissure    Sorcery  Choose one- • Destroy target creature, its controller sacrifices a land. • Destroy target land, its controller sacrifices a creature.

korakhos (don't feel like you've got to apologize for the points thing - c'est la vie - and thanks for the bonus) Unluckily for our soldier friend, the crevice splits right between his legs. His eyes widen as he feels the ground peel away from underneath him, their burning whiteness, as he began to fall. He quickly managed to drive his spear into the earth beside him, hanging on to his spear for dear life at about 30 feet down. "For crying out loud..." he mutters. He grabs the wall with his free hand, and begins to climb back up. With one hand he uses the spear as a climbing tool, and uses his other hand to grab rocks on his way back up. When he finally pulls himself up, he dusts himself off and stands. Not even winded. "...Aylin."Martyr's Phantom Creature - Spirit Flying , sacrifice ~: You gain 2 life. , exile ~ from your graveyard: Return target creature or land from your graveyard to your hand. 1/1 Call to Aid: Quarry Beetle
Devouring Fissure: Seems pretty good for 4 mana at uncommon. Land destruction alone usually costs  or  , tied together with creature removal at uncommon is a large ouphe. 6/10.

As Mei feels the first rumblings, she disperses back into fog, floating above the fissures opening around them. She pulls herself back together as Aiden pulls himself from the cracks. "Aylin?" the vampire asks. "Person in the tent a friend of yours?"
"Looks like the cracks came from that direction. If that came from her, we'll want to head that way."Mei, Persistent Student Legendary Creature - Vampire Rogue When Mei, Persistent Student dies, you may pay X life, where X is the number of +1/+1 counters on it. If you do, return it to the battlefield tapped with X plus one +1/+1 counters on it. 2/2

cajun Aiden saw the mist pull back together ever so slightly. Meh, whatever- he's seen much weirder here. "Less a friend, more someone I know." he explains, looking directly at her. His eyes shine white, and it would hurt for her to look directly in his eyes. He nodded at her suggestion. "Let's get a move on then. I have some business to take care of with that creature." he said. Junala, Lifeweaver Legendary Creature - Dwarf Wizard Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)Whenever ~ or another creature you or a teammate controls dies, you gain X life, where X is equal to it's power. "No such thing as waste, kid. Come here, and I'll show you." 3/3 A white light, not shining to blind Mei, rose beneath him. Instead of walking, it carried him towards the direction of the cracks at a reasonable speed. His white aura flowed behind him.Mei, Persistent Student: Seems neat. Paying life for power. I like it. Only problem is it's black and needs a way to put counters on it in the first place, which isn't impossible, but weird as a standalone card especially at legendary. I'm an idiot who can't read, 9/10.

It felt like soldier boy was staring holes through her, and when she turned to those miniature death beams he called eyes she understood why.
The things I do for demon secrets, she thought to herself.
Junala, Lifeweaver - noice. might feel a bit safer at X/2 cause this feels like it'll topple some limited games. 9/10

(also there's no shield so I assume you meant spear) The soldier holds his spear up against it and it takes the blows. It seems to not be receiving any damage, as Aiden suddenly stabs into the elemental as it brings it's sword arm up to slash again.Retaliation Brigade Creature - Human Soldier When ~ enters the battlefield, you may return target creature or artifact card with a converted mana cost of 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. "Mess with our stuff, pay the price."

"Shut it, Kyle."4/4 Hammer Through: Very red, though  seems iffy, even if only on your turn. Probably to be safe? 9.5/10 but practice what I preach and 10/10.

Martyr Phantom: cool idea, I like that it has a way to send itself to the graveyard if you really need it there. I'm a bit unsure about the return to hand clause, but there's enough precedent in white for it to be acceptable and the Quarry Beetle also helps the response. 8/10

The slash seems to definitely affect the elemental, as it takes a quick step back. It glows a pale blue for a second as more ice seems to form over its body, mending the cuts it has suffered and thickening its armour. Armour of Frost  Instant  Target creature gets +0/+5 and gains hexproof until end of turn.
Retaliation Brigade - Very nice, very white.Cost seems good too. 10/10 |

If you do, exile target black creature. 3/3 His spear glows softly, warding off the black fog. He still sees the echoes of his family, but remains steadfast. "Enough tricks, demon!"Profaned Graves: Seems neat, appropriately costed, sorcery speed effect. My only concern is, funnily enough, graveyard abuse (either casting this a bunch or super graveyard stuff from your yard) but there are better options to abuse probably. 10/10. I'm proud of you, kid.

Either my memory is failing me or you edited this post between when I last saw it and now because I remember this being , which I believe to be the right rarity for this card. 8/10. Even though Aiden can see through the trick, the figures are not vanishing."If you want them gone..." speaks Malextros's voice through both their mouths "You're going to have to do it yourself... korakhos The soldier stared at the incarnations. He watches their mouths speak with that thing's voice. His mind raced. Could he do it? Could he defeat the spirits of his family, even if they were mere tricks? He lifted his spear, into a position to thrust. He looked at them, standing still, silently egging him on. He soon lowered his spear."No." he said, though not in defeat. His voice rang strong throughout the crater, crystal clear. He dropped his spear, and put his hands out. A ring of white mist cut off the black smog from reaching him or the spirits effectively. Instead of a fast pulse, a swift strike, his white mist slowly inched towards the figures. It seemed to fight at it, desperate to break through. His face beaded with sweat, and his nose began to bleed. He grunted, and finally the swirling white aura emanating from his palms seemed to break through the black mist's exterior. It swirled with the black, and fought for dear life, trying to get a foothold. Blood ran down his face, and seeped from his other wounds, white aura defending him from other mist trying to get to him, as the white began to overtake the apparitions. When it reached their bottom, it snapped the tether to the black fog, freeing the apparitions and turning them into glowing and white figures of his wife and child. Aiden let his hands down, and knelt to pick up his spear. He stood back up, panting hard.You make us proud."Enough tricks, demon." he said, between breaths.Valorous Guardian Creature - Angel Soldier Flying Other permanents have indestructible. "No one and no thing shall be broken under my watch. You will all be saved."4/4 Suicidal Stratagem: Feels weird, probably fine at uncommon or even common if sac outlets are usually on dinky creatures. I imagine that's what you'd use this for, maybe force some Hive Mind shenanigans? Got that weird vibe of One with Nothing, so because I appreciate that card 7/10.

Valorous Guardian: This granting indestructible to everything makes me feel like it could create a stale board. True, it has flying, so chances are you can sneak it past your opponents' defenses in limited, but I feel this discourages attacks since your opponet can just chumpblock without consequences and then can attack through your tapped dudes. 6/10. Aiden finishes defeating the psychological demons Malextros has sent his way."Enough tricks, demon" he says, but Malextros isn't listening to him.While he was dealing with his family's ghost, a man has appeared behind the demon and taken the ring from him, and he's turned around to face him, leaving his back completely exposed.Exploit the Distraction Sorcery ~ deals 1 damage to target creature and 1 damage to that creature's controller. That creature can't block this turn. Sometimes, it takes hours of study and a foolproof tactic. Other times, all it takes is being at the right place at the right second.

korakhos Aiden is very tired, and as the mist parts, he sees the creature's back to him. He stares at it. He felt like this was his final shot. He wiped the blood from his nose, but kept bleeding. He lifted his spear and it burst a bright white, shining and shining. He felt his own power drain as he shot one final blast of white energy directly into the back of Malextros. He wanted power? He could have it!Monastery Guardian Creature - Human Monk Prowess Whenever you or a teammate casts an instant or sorcery spell, create a 1/1 white monk creature token. "Defend the openings - do not falter."3/2 (Interpreting as a gift of sorts) Exploit the Distraction: A step up from Sparkjolt, should probably be uncommon even for a split shock as well as the can't block thing. 8/10.

Monastery Guardian: Honestly, the token generating clause could just be noncreature, and it would be better since white also tends two get two enchantment slots at common. 8/10. All according to plan thought Malextros deviously.After Dack stole the ring he'd lost the capacity to focus on multiple attacks at once, so he would not be able to keep assaulting Aiden, instead, he'd instigated him and tricked him into thinking he was distracted. When the beam shoots, Malextros vanishes. The beam flies right through the spot where he used to be standing and hits Dack instead.Malextros reforms blindingly fast."Any last words?" he asks, extending his arm through the mist. The arm turns into a dark blade that pierces Aiden in the abdomen.Pernicious Wound Instant Target creature gets -5/-5 until end of turn. When that creature dies this turn, its controller draws a card. "Death's caress is cold and gentle... mine is painful and unbearable."

To die with dignity is one's greatest accomplishment - even more than the glory they achieved in life.1/1 Pernicious Wound: Feels weird at uncommon given Flatten and also why do they draw a card? I guess in a pinch you can draw a card but, well. 6/10.

Warrior's Respect Instant Target attacking or blocking creature you control and target creature blocking or blocked by it gain indestructible until end of turn. Untap them.
Sunspear Knight - There has never been a double striker at common with unconditional double strike and more than 1 power in a non-masters set, and I don't think there should be. At uncommon? It has potential, but I'm still unsure. 7/10 to be generous. |

I also like it that it's worded so it has to target both creatures or fizzle. 8/10.

The elemental looks at him for a moment, its head glowing, swapping between different colours. After a moment, however, it stops. It just looks at you, and then tilts its head. "Greetings?" Aiden hears, seemingly from around him as the elemental's head lights up again. Telepathic Link Instant Your opponents reveal their hands and the top card of their libraries. Draw a card.
Respected Warrior - A nice, simple 'Inspired' effect. Feels like it could have been in Theros. 10/10 |

You wake up to see a trance-addled Hanska bleeding on your chest and, more oddly, the spectral figure of a snake flowing out of her thumb and wrapping itself around your body. Your wounds are shutting in front of your eyes.Life-Blessed Haltija - :  Creature - Snake Spirit Lifelink , InfectWhen Life-Blessed Haltija enters the battlefield, target player's life total becomes 30. Lady Mapi The soldier groans. His groan sounds loud and painful - but alive. He hears the voice in his head. What's that it's saying? G...p? Ge... p?Get. Up.Aiden's eyes shoot open wide, the life and color returning to them. He gasps for air, and witnesses the snake spirit, seeing his wound close. Wait, his vision is improving... that apothecary..? He felt weirdly ill, but much better. He remains laid down, even as his abdomen is sealed back up. "Oh God..." he groans quietly. The wound is sealed. "H-Hanska?"Sun Elemental Creature - Elemental Whenever you gain life, you may put that many +1/+1 counters on ~. It burns like a thousand suns - given proper fuel.1/1 Life-Blessed Haltija: This is a doozy to score. Stuff like that Sorin that places your life total at 10 is usually a utility - usually at your opponent but can be used to gain life. This wants a similar effect, but will usually always target you in any situation, barring EDH and even then, it's hefty life gain from a bad situation. That's another factor - worst-case scenario, you play one of these on 4 and gain 10 life roughly with a 3/3 with two keywords. Best-case, you go low, then suddenly gain 20+ life. Fun scenario though: someone on 15 or less life, Tainted Remedy + this card makes a dead opponent. 7/10. Always a fan of stuff that's funny with Tainted Remedy.
