Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and forty-second challenge! The winners of the "I need a hero!" poll were cajun (left) and Daij_Djan (right) with...And the challenge issued by one of our winners was... Graveyard mechanics always seem to shamble back, and no matter how many times we strike them down they come back stronger. This week, design a card where getting to the graveyard is a benefit rather than a liability. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post.And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Exhumer Adept Creature — Human Wizard Zombie spells you cast cost less to cast. As long as ~ is in your graveyard, you may cast creature cards from your graveyard as long as you pay more to cast them. Those creatures become black Zombies in addition to their other colors and types. "Even in death, we must hold open the doors to eternal life."2/2

Temporal Theory Sorcery Inspiration (Play this spell only if it is the first spell you've cast this turn.)You may cast target instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard without paying its mana cost. If you do, when that spell would be put into your graveyard this turn from anywhere, exile it instead. {Render}

Rotting Corpse Creature - Zombie (Nonexistent mana costs can't be paid.), Discard ~: ~ deals 2 damage to you and target opponent. As long as ~ is in your graveyard, all creatures get -1/-0. "What's that stench? Gods, it makes me want to vomit..." - professor Zomboid0/3 This is bad and weird, I know. Just a rough idea.

So here's my design for this week. I know it's a bit narrow, but I like it nethertheless. Wording is taken from Soulflayer.

Temporal Theory Sorcery Inspiration (Play this spell only if it is the first spell you've cast this turn.)You may cast target instant or sorcery in your graveyard. After, exile Temporal Theory and target spell. I think the wording you're looking for is more like: Temporal Theory Sorcery Inspiration (You may cast this spell only if it's the first spell you've cast this turn.)You may cast target instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard [without paying it's mana cost?]. If you do, when that spell would be put into your graveyard this turn from anywhere, exile it instead. Exile ~. I did the bracketed part because I don't know if that was left out on purpose or not - seeing as the card costs 3, probably not.

It's sort of awkward 'cause I just came up with it, only to run into Mission Briefing so I'm not sure whether or not it's costed appropriately. Inspiration is meant as a limiting mechanic, so I hope its power is modulated, but... I don't know.

What happens when it enters the battlefield?

I'm developing an orange-bordered set (where orange-border means "my own silverborder that is actually crazier than orangeborder and is a lot less serious and allows me to target only cards from the set and make meme cards once in a while"), and I thought to myself "Deh, I'll just make an orangebordered card!" Hangman's Dance Enchantment Permanents on top of your graveyard is on the battlefield. “There’s a hundred uses for the hangman’s knot!”
Rule clarification: yes, this means a permanent on top of your graveyard, when destroyed, goes back to the top of your graveyard.
