Feedbackpistonsmcgraw: I really like the expansion of the Adventures into off-color! And your specific cards as examples of it are all really great! I would be surprised if we don't get these types of multi-color Adventure cards in our next trip to Eldraine. I wanted to pick one that's my favorite, but they are all really good! The Troll's Riddle's way of discarding is really neat, I haven't seen that before. I also like the Skulk on Mini-man, and how it plays so well with its Adventure. Tooth Fairy might be a little strong, but such great flavor. ameisenmeister: I like the story the card tells! It doesn't scream Eldraine at me, but it definitely wouldn't be out of place in the slightest. ResultWinner is pistonsmcgraw with some really neat representations of advancing the Adventure design space.

I've absolutely no problem with my placing but am a little puzzled by the feedback. On the picture is the royal family of Eldraine: Queen Linden, King Algenus Kenrith and their (step) children Will, Rowan, Erec and Hazel. The reunion of the Kenrith family. after Agenus had been transformed into a stag by the planeswalker Oko, was the conclusion of the Throne of Eldraine story. So the card's picture could literally only be used for an Eldraine card.

I knew the characters looked familiar but I wasn't well versed in the Eldraine story/cards enough pick up on that. Sorry. I went mostly by the effect of the card. I don't remember Eldraine having a strong focus on colors (other than adamant, which wants you to play mono-color) or Legendaries, so the connection wasn't that strong in my mind. After doing a bit of searching, I see a few cards do match well.

pistonsmcgraw I was not aware of this product at all until your post, so I had no reference as to how to go about this submission. I finally fully read the wiki you pointed to, and immediately upon finishing, purchased a copy of it from a game store! I think it's a really neat idea, and I wish it had more visibility. In any case, I plan to submit a few tile entries before the end of the week. For those who might be like me and didn't know about this product: - There is a map made up of tiles that you can flip over based on the tile's mana cost (1, 3, or 6). - You can only reveal a tile if it has no lower-cost tiles surrounding it. - Tiles come in three types: Events, Quests, and Sites. - Events happen right away once revealed. - Quests go to the player who revealed it until the trigger described on the Quest is met. - Sites provide a permanent effect, but can be stolen by dealing combat damage with an unblocked creature to an opponent who has a Site. Only one Site can be stolen each turn. (It's similar to how Monarch works.) - Last player to survive wins.

Torrential Rainfall Event Choose one-- *Creatures can’t block this turn unless their controller pays for each creature they control that’s blocking. *Tap target creature. Scrying Pools Site At the beginning of your upkeep, choose one-- *Scry 1, then scry 1. *Fateseal 1. (To fateseal 1, look at the top card of an opponent's library, then you may put that card on the bottom of that library.)Multiplication Technique Quest Choose one-- *The next time you cast a spell with mana value 3 or less, copy it twice. You may choose new targets for the copies. (A copy of a permanent spell becomes a token.) *The next time a creature you control attacks, create a tapped and attacking token that's a copy of that creature.

I have never seen this one either but the concept of making MtG into a board game sounds pretty intriguing. I'm curious to hear how your play with it has been, vizionarius. Anyway, some ideas based on the description: Advance Scouting Quest The next time you attack, target creature gets first strike until end of turn. Recruitment Center Site At the beginning of your end step, create a 1/1 white Soldier token. Volcanic Activity Event Destroy all creatures without flying.

I'm curious to hear how your play with it has been, vizionarius . I finally had a chance to play it last night with a couple of friends. And the general consensus was that it's a neat idea, but the execution of it feels a little lacking. We had a few ideas how it could be improved, or how we'd design some things differently about it. Mostly, the issue was that the effects often felt a little weak because the pre-constructed decks seemed a little too weak to really make use of most of them. Also, sometimes the effect wasn't quite relevant to the board state, so it would sometimes feel like you just wasted mana on an effect that you wouldn't have cared to use at the time. If the tiles had some color to them so you knew generally what kind of effect you'd get, or if you could store the effects to use at a later time, it would have been better. Also, it would be neat if there were options to choose between a couple of things that happen (I will be updating my entries momentarily to have this). There should also have been more interactability with the tiles (so a lot more sites than events and quests, even if they were weak effects). I think 3 players was a good number, and with 4, the map would have been a little crowded. I'm pretty sure I'll be working on some variants on playing Magic in this or similar ways.
