I wondered whether all interpretations that fits with the word "futuristic Dominaria" is ok or only Mad Max like is allowed so hesitated to challenge. But now I hit one thing that I think it is legal for both possibilities. I am predicting that Kamigawa will be planeshifted by Phyrexia into the area Washitora reigns and Madaran empire was. This is a mixture of Washitora's tribe and Kamigawan technology.

ZephyrPhantom : I like your new Outpost land type, feels like something that could easily be introduced to some landscape where there are not many Gates left. And the name Mana Station! Untapping Vehicles is niche enough where this is not too powerful. Excellent design! twintania : I like the flavor of the creature being either wild (by having Fish) or trained/domesticated, where it becomes a "mount." Nice way to design the mount by the way. Very clever! Winner: ZephyrPhantom wins with a cleaner design. Although twintania did have a very clever way to make a mount.

Glad you liked it! I saw the futuristic Kaladesh round and feel like it could get a sort of spiritual second try, so let's try this: I'd like you to design any number of cards based around Space: The Convergence, a what-if 'set' teased by WoTC during Planar Chaos week that featured many iconic cards reflavored into a space/sci-fi flavor. (You can find the full article here with example cards.)I'd like you to keep the following in mind: - For sanity's sake, you may use canon MTG terms instead of their STC equivalents (e.g. Necroleum basics being typed as "Swamp"), but I will welcome attempts to deliberately introduce or reimagine any of STC's keywords to help the set stand out (e.g. Directly porting Spaceflight as a Shadow-like mechanic). - The base story describes five central planets of "psi" that are expanding out across the universe and warping planets to resemble their values. Can you make any interesting story cards out of this? - Try to keep the flavor distinct from Unfinity and Warhammer 40k!

Device = Artifact; Unit = Creature; Dropship = Flash; Range = First Strike; Radar = Vigilance
Augment = Enchantment; Graft = Aura; Teleport = Spell; Start = Cast; Xeno = Green; Pyre = Red; Modify = Enchant; Command = Control; Modified = Enchanted. I made a typo, it should have been "You command modified unit."
Malware = Curse
Tactic = Instant; Pyre psi = red mana
Overpower = Trample; Shadowproof = Hexproof from black

Would like to see more entries for this if possible so I'm going to give it a bump for one more week. I like what I'm seeing so far and think the potential is high for other exciting entries.

Going to close this early as we haven't received any submissions in the 4 days since the bump and I am not sure when the next good opportunity will be for me to judge. Both submissions were very creative and I'm very glad you kept the STC wording and flavor, but I think Bouncearama takes this one for turning Treasure into Fuel tokens. It keeps the modern feeling of WoTC's recent innovation with tokens and combines it perfectly with the STC reflavoring of old. Sacrifice -> Forfeit is also a very good revision.

Thanks for the win! Can't take credit for the forfeit wording though, that is from the article. The next set is Unstable.

Heads up Professor is missing P/T Oh thanks! Also noticed the Grandpa card was an old version, so I fixed that too.

I couldn't find a good art. Maybe I add an art on this card later. Slow Blow Instant Slow Blow deals 3 damage to any target. You can target a player in their last game. (If a player in a game already done is dealt damage, reduce that player's life when that game was done. If the damage source had infect, it adds that much poison counter on the player at that time. That player loses the game if they satisfy the losing condition as a result of the damage. This means that the opponent of the player wins the game. Note the life or state of the last game if you use this card. The player in past can't cast a spell nor activate an ability against that spell. Triggered and replacement abilities in past works but any choice can't be done. If those abilities included any choice, that ability fizzles. Players in the current game can interfere the spell e.g. counter it.)

Idea Good idea, but I don't like how wordy the cards are. I also dislike the fact the "Dying Arts" doesn't work on the professor due to it already being a bard, as well as the fact the "Grandpa Nonbo Bhere" is a rigger that doesn't assemble contraptions despite the established link between the two. ameisenmeister Fun card, plenty of fun combos with being able to cast the same creature repeatedly and it counting as a commander for lieutenant cards like the familiar cycle. twintania Cool concept, not sure about how it would work in a draft tournament though. Imagine there is Bob, Pete, Helen and Joe. Bob beats Joe in match 1 and Helen beats Pete in match 1. Then in match 2 Helen casts "Slow Blow" on Bob causing him to lose to Joe. What happens? ameisenmeister wins, unless twintania can answer my question with a satisfactory answer soonish!

Suppose that Helen beats Bob and Joe beats Pete. Then, after round 2, Helen is 2-0, Bob is 0-2, Joe is 2-0 and Pete is 0-2. If Bob beat Helen, Helen is 1-1, Bob is 1-1, Joe is 2-0 and Pete is 0-2. If round 3 exists, pairings of the round are determined by the score after Slow Blow manipulated.

Bouncearama Then, nothing happens. Joe is already dropped out from the tournament. Only record of the first match changes as though Joe had won but withdrawn from the tournament and then Bob advanced. But if it was a casual tournament for your friends and it has a prize for who didn’t win any match, Joe will lose the right. Though actually it will depends on the judge.

Judging time! lordpat Fine card and charge counters were definitely a thing in Fifth Dawn. It's a bit generic though (unless I'm missing something). twintania Animating noncreature artifacts based on their charge counters is a cool idea and fits Fifth Dawn well. Putting the effect on a creature seems strange but works just fine. viriss Well, I've never been a big fan of intimidate – just like wotc apparently – but the triggered ability is the main player here. The +1/+1 counters work with sunburst creatures, but the can't be blocked except by artifact creatures is kind of a nonbo in Mirrodin block. I guess that makes the card fairer for limited, though. vizionarius Sunburst for everything is interesting but I fear that it would be very relevant for artifact creatures but much less so for noncreatures, unless, of course, you build your deck with a lot of Titan Forge and others like it. When I first read the card, I didn't like the activated ability, until I realized that you could use the mana produced to power up your next sunburst spell. Cool idea! {And the winner is...} vizionarius! Your card just had everything that Fifth Dawn was about: Artifacts and different colors of mana.
Thanks for participating!

Whoops! Totally dropped the ball on this one... Thanks for the win! The intent was indeed to give some fuel for charge counter removing cards, including itself.
Next: Create one or more cards for Eldraine. Feel free to use existing mechanics or come up with new ones that fit the feel of the set.
