If nobody objects, I'll combine the problem of little time during the week with the fact that there are only three entries currently to push judging to next weekend.

Genuinely surprised this wasn't a design in Amonkhet... Shimmering OasisLand - Desert : Add . , Exert ~: Add one mana of any color. "Drink deeply, for it may be your last reminder of the God Pharoah's favor." - Inscriptions of the Exiled

I had quite a lot of fun with this one! I made quite a few designs, playing with a lot of the aftermath cards, (I made Born // Wild and Call // Arms) as well as a flavourful Embalmer to the Pharaoh that could grant embalm to legendary cards in your graveyard but I most liked this card which captured the flavour of Followers of the Gods of Amonkhet going wherever they go to please them, but if that God goes to another part of Amonkhet, those followers go with them.

A combat trick that works well with death triggers and embalm but can also be used without sacrificing a creature. I found the image perfectly encapsulating the ominous horror that the trials really are without giving away too much so that the viewer can form his own ideas about what's happening.

Judging arrived! { hydraheadhunter } hydraheadhunter cool two-sided control card which disrupts the smoothness of your opponent's game while easing yours, and the flavour is perfectly dripping both in regards to the effects and the plane. I feel like you were a bit too cautious on the power level and it could probably have been made at , although since Smothering Tithe I may have to lower my confidence towards this feeling a bit. The only intellible problem is that there were no Treasures during Amonkhet (starting in Ixalan). { Flo00 } Flo00 Nice card combining the Ruthless theme with Exert, in early game most often itself as the first target but then broadening the range for your other hurt creatures or many more ways as targeting permanents gives much to play around with. It is pretty similar to Exemplar of Strength though (although cooler). { sdfkjgh } sdfkjgh Interesting card trading mana availability for mana usage improvement, which is daring for a land. Imo Its mana adding capabilitiy is too weak, enough so that you would use it so rarely that I feel like the card being an artifact would simply feel more fulfilling in the end. In later game this could really shine though. { ZephyrPhantom } ZephyrPhantom I completely agree, this could have been an easy slam dunk- and well, now here it is. One mana of choice for losing one mana next turn is harsh but in case you really want to get that one juicy card out, it's worth it. Nice touch with the flavour text. { somerandomperson } somerandomperson Besides the negligible facts that tokens with built-in counters are a pain in the eye for me, and that it's highly unlikely that there are more than the five Gods walking around during Amonkhet set timeline (but I'm one of the last one who would punish for using pictures), it has solid flavour and potentially generates much value if you really engage in it as all the Gods at that time were indestructible. In the end, because its sole applicability is around Gods, this is too much niche imo. { ameisenmeister } ameisenmeister Smooth card, version of Rush of Vitality with more versatibility and cool flavour with the dualities concerning Amonkhet (sacrifice to pass the trials) and effects (death for indestructibility). I also agree on the picture conveying the trials well. {And the winner is...} hydraheadhunter ! This was again really hard to decide, and while yours was not without any flaw, its effects along with the outstanding flavour carrying them gave it a slight edge.

Thanks for the win. Sorry about the mechanics hiccup: I have a hard time keeping a timeline straight, so I'm not surprised that happened. Let's see some War of the Spark cards. This might be a bit of a narrow restriction, but I'd like cards that could fit into a second bond cycle depicting the wedge guild pairs working together (to contrast the the shard guild team ups we got). It doesn't have to follow the same template as the bond cycle, as long as it shows them teaming up.

Bond of Innovation Sorcery Distribute X +1/+1 counters among any number of target creatures, where X is the number of instant and sorcery cards you own in your graveyard and in exile. "It's such a delight to work with someone else whose brain can keep up with mine - even if it's part squid."

Bond of Justice Instant Exile target attacking creature, then return it to the battlefield under it’s owner’s control. It deals damage equal to its power to that player. “No one is above the law. Together we can make sure this stands true.”This is Azorius + Boros in case that isn't obvious.

Bond of Rebirth Sorcery Each player mills 4. You may put a creature milled this way onto the battlefield under your control. "Body or mind, a clean slate will begin the cycle anew."

It's been a week without any new entries, so I'mma call this one. {Judging} ameisenmeister | | Bond of Archness Two generic and a black Sorcery
Choose target creature. Any number of target players each mills four cards, then put a +1/+1 counter on that creature for each creature card in your graveyard.
"Usually bribery and coercion are the way to solve problems but you can't deny the elegence of an undead troll smashing heads either."
Art by LASAHIDO | I like the card, but after looking up "Archness" I'm not sure its the best adjective to describe the orzhov and golgari team up. It feels a lot more gruul and rakdos to me, and maybe a bit dimir. | sdfkjgh | no render provided. | Bond of Wildness Three Generic and Two Green Instant
Create a green 2/1 Wurm Snake Hydra creature token with bloothirst 1, graft 1, riot, evolve, trample, and “3 generic and a blue or a red: Adapt 3.”
Bloodrush—3 generic a Greend,Blue and Red, Discard this card: Target attacking creature gets +5/+4 and gains graft, evolve, trample, and “3 generic and a blue or a red: Adapt 3” until end of turn. | This one certainly goes all out on the theme giving making use of every simic and gruul keyword, but the effect winds up reading like keyword soup because of that.
It's also missing the witty flavor text which shows what the two guilds are able to find common ground on; I know this wasn't an officially stated requirement, but after seeing the other entries, it really feels like the cards need it to feel like a part of the cycle.
I'd recommend trying to narrow in on a thinner selection of mechanics to make room for le flavor text. | thaneofglamis | no render provided. | Bond of Innovation Three Generic and a Blue Sorcery
Distribute X +1/+1 counters among any number of target creatures, where X is the number of instant and sorcery cards you own in your graveyard and in exile.
"It's such a delight to work with someone else whose brain can keep up with mine - even if it's part squid." | A nice clean combination of mechanics to represent the simic and izzet guilds.
The flavor text is on point. | Flo00 | no render provided. | Bond of Justice Two Generic and Two White Instant
Exile target attacking creature, then return it to the battlefield under it’s owner’s control. It deals damage equal to its power to that player.
“No one is above the law. Together we can make sure this stands true.” | I like the flavor text, but I'm a little confused about how this card's mechanics fit into the guilds it's representing. But, this is a really difficult team up to attempt because azorious cares about preventing attacks and boros cares about attacking. | inferno390 | no render provided. | Bond of Rebirth Three Generic and Two Black. Sorcery
Each player mills 4. You may put a creature milled this way onto the battlefield under your control.
"Body or mind, a clean slate will begin the cycle anew." | A clean combination of mechanics to show the dimir and golgari teaming up. And the flavor text works too. But I'm not quite sold that rebirth was the best fit here. |
Thank you everybody who participated.

Taking kinship the the next level... Goldmeadow Intimidator Creature - Shapeshifter Changeling (This card is every creature type at all times.) Kinship — At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with Goldmeadow Intimidator, you may reveal it. If you do, each crreature you control that shares a creature type with the revealed card gets +1/+1 until end of turn. 2/2

Taking kinship the the next level... Goldmeadow Intimidator 1 Generic and Two white Creature - Shapeshifter Uncommon Changeling (This card is every creature type at all times.) Kinship — At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with Goldmeadow Intimidator, you may reveal it. If you do, each creature you control that shares a creature type with the revealed card gets +1/+1 until end of turn. 2/2 Now that I've seen both abilities on one card; yeah, not having a changeling with kinship definitely was a missed opprotunity.

Judging time:
Flavor is good, and it works well to support Treefolk decks. It was disappointing that they had such little support in white and black. Whether white gets counterspells isn't really something I want to argue about, so I'll just say that I'm ok with it. All around a good entry.
I like the flavor (and the pun), but I think four mana might be a bit much. That's a lot of mana, basically turning all your cheap Shamans into rituals that can net you up to three mana. Not to mention it fuels itself, as you can pour that mana into its ability to shred through enemy creatures or just their life total. It's also worth noting that it goes infinite with any Conspiracy effect. Minor nitpick: "Create two 0/1 red Elemental creature tokens." Flo00 - Goldmeadow IntimidatorVery creative use of Kinship that I'm totally on board with! Kinship was, in my opinion, a wasted opportunity. The name is kind of awkward, though. Intimidation is generally associated with evasion, and despite the similar names it has no relation to Boldwyr Intimidator from the same set! Clash was another forgotten mechanic that saw little play. Cards that support clash decks like this one would have made the mechanic more useful (along with clash cards that were actually useful). I really like how it softens the blow of losing a clash because you pulled a land. Well done!

The Price of Yar-Kul's Ambition (As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after IV.) I--Create Yar-Kul, a legendary black 0/1 Human Minion creature token with “This creature enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it” and “As long as this creature has no counters on it, it’s an Insect Minion.” II--Remove all counters from another target permanent. III--You may sacrifice a creature. If you do, draw two cards and create a 1/3 black Frog creature token with reach. IV--You may sacrifice a Frog. If you do, each opponent loses 3 life and you create Yargle, a legendary black 9/3 Frog Spirit creature token. Legendary Enchantment--Saga
#ShitpostingOnTheSevens
ps, How the fuck do I work the Saga templating? I can't get chapter IV's Roman numeral to show up.

Phew, in search of something to guide my inspiration for a Dominaria design, I was lucky to find out that the set has 38 cards of each mono-color except for green (37), as well as the lowest amount of monogreen legendaries (4). Probably one the deepest cut in lore possible but really the exclusion principle pointed to Aznath, who found herself in unloved territories during the Rift Era- luckily, she survived the >60 years since then and found gusto in exploring lands and life which may or may not be detrimental to her safety. Don't know if Edahlis also survived though.

Dig Up the Past Sorcery Kicker Reurn target historic permanent card from your graveyard to the battlefield. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)If Dig Up the Past was kicked, put a lore counter on target Saga you control or remove one from it. I think you could even return a saga and remove the counter from it. It would still trigger chapter I since it got the counter as it entered. And you would get the chapter I trigger again next turn.

Judging time! Long overdue, I know...
Don't know about the template either, sorry. Your card is definitely flavorful and tells the story of one of Dominaria's most original legendaries (altough, mechanically it's probably the most boring). What takes me aback is the flavor overdose on it. A token that enters with counters just to make flavor sense is weird, as is the phrase sacrifice a frog. I get that it all tells a story but it's a bit too close for my tastes.
Nice catch with the number of legendaries. The card is cool and transports the flavor of discovery quite well. It might be very powerful against creature-low decks, which is, as far as I'm concerned, a big plus.I also allows for multiplayer politics but might also cause tedious shuffeling every turn. The second ability not allowing to search libraries was definitely a good idea. Overall, I like the card and could see it as a good card to have in limited and commander.
Now this is a card that liks two themes together in a way that just feels absolutely natural. Very good card that really screams Dominaria from the top of its lungs. I'm afraid though, that it's not possible to put or remove a counter on/from the saga you returned, as you have to select all targets when you cast the spell. So the saga will still be in the graveyard and can't be targeted. Changing it to ...put a lore counter on a saga you control or remove one. should be enough to fix this problem.
{And the winner is...} Flo00! With Boogymanjunior in a close second.
Thanks everyone for participating!

How about the very first one?
Ancient Rivalry Enchantment As Ancient Rivalry enters the battlefield, choose Elves or Goblins. • Elves—Each creature you control has “: Add one mana of any type” and is an Elf in addition to its other types. • Goblins—Each creature you control is a Goblin in addition to its other types and has “, Sacrifice this creature: Choose one— • Destroy target noncreature artifact. • This creature deals 2 damage to any target.”
If anyone can think of better templating, please let me know.
