Well, considering @mk indeed hasn't been online these past two weeks, it'd normally be up to one of the runner-ups to offer the next challenge - so in this case Boogymanjunior or viriss. Otherwise if both of you don't want to, I can come up with a new challenge as well though

Otherwise if both of you don't want to, I can come up with a new challenge as well though Thanks for the save! Now that we know that it will continue soon, I would propose to wait for viriss to decide till tomorrow, and if he doesn't want to or does not react, I will initiate a new challenge- unless you want to.

Shrieking Metal Instant Destroy target artifact. Hellbent — Shrieking Metal deals damage to that artifact’s controller equal to that artifact’s converted mana cost if you have no cards in hand.

I wanted this to be a blue 2M counterpart to the uncommon M Blessing and 1M Might cards printed in Dissension. Similarly, it's a sorcery because one is an aura and the other is an instant. The art, uh, it depicts a vedalken that the Simic have experimented on and combined with... A squid. Of some caliber. I literally don't even know if squids or octopi live on Ravnica. Whatever! It's a good card. I think.

Unfortunately, as I have no time today anymore and am on vacation with potentially no steady internet for the upcoming week, I have to just anounce the winner and either postpone the judging if I do have enough internet there, or leave it be if there is not enough (you can write me personally ofc for a personal judging ) I am very sorry! So, the winner is viriss.

I love the hatred for Changelings in this set and how weird it can get, so here's another card in that vein.

I swear, I'll get around to posting the decklist for DDouble DDs after the hiatus.
Hardened Bark Tribal Instant--Treefolk Wizard Counter target spell or ability that targets you or a Treefolk permanent you control unless its controller pays , where X is the greatest toughness among creatures you control.
Seed Guardian Creature--Treefolk Warrior Trample 3/6
Surging Sap Tribal Instant--Treefolk Target creature gets +X/+Y until end of turn, where Y is the number of Treefolk permanents you control. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “We lend you our strength, may you tend to us in peace.”

Giants are the only tribe that didn't get a Champion card in Lorwyn/Shadowmoor, so I did just that. Trample and haste was already used for red Champion cards so I used Menace (which wouldn't have been keyworded back in Lorwyn).

Apologies on missing this one. gateways7 I like the idea of changeling hate. For that cost though, I'd add "spell or ability" like a regular flagbearer. And maybe reminder text "(Creatures with changeling are flagbearers.)" fluffydeathbringer I love proficiency, and as a sorcery you might be able to drop the cost by 1. Very nice. highskyscot Good balance overall. I'm personally not a fan of draw/put a card back, but here it makes sense. FLAREdirector Good design. Nice companion to Walker of the Grove. I'm not sure about the part, I feel like it was costed that way to make the evoke cost "feel" different. sdfkjgh Three cards? I'll use the one with an image. Ahh... +Y, how I wish they'd use it a little more. Change it to common and ship it! Tesagk Oh... these rascals. I like seeing Hideaway on a creature (the reminder text still refers to a land). The remove a +1/+1 counter from "any" creature seems strong, but does open it up to the greatest possibly chance to use the card since it doesn't give counters (but they could just sit and eat counters and reveal nothing?). So that works. The last two abilities need changing, the card should only ever go to the owner's hand. I'm not sure what about them is shapeshifter. Boogymanjunior I'm a fan of champion, even if I have to explain it every time I use it. =) Good balance of cost/champion/power. The new idea of red card draw being limited also works well on this. I can see the part confusing people thinking they get it even if the giant doesn't attack. And do you still get it if the Giant dies?

Gosh, thanks, viriss! Fun fact: I'm 90% certain I had never seen Walker of the Grove before just now. I sure don't recognize it, so I doubt it influenced my entry at all, lmao.
The next challenge is Commander 2019! Even though only a few of the cards have been revealed, I still have an idea of where I want to go with this. Create a commander (creature or planeswalker), then create another card that synergizes with it really well called NAME's X. For example--if you haven't seen the reveals yet-- Ghired, Conclave Exile and Ghired's Belligerence make for a strong backbone for a Naya populate deck. You could almost think of this as an Oathbreaker challenge? Anyway, if you want to build the pair of cards around a keyword not represented in the four C19 preconstructed decks--i.e., not populate, (mega)morph, flashback, or madness--so much the better!
Good luck, everyone!!

Slovosk, Angent of Despair Legendary Creature - Vampire Rogue Flying Slovosk, Angent of Despair gets +1/+1 for each card you own in exile. Whenever Slovosk, Angent of Despair attacks and isn’t blocked, defending player chooses a card you own in exile. You may put that card into your hand. If you do, Slovosk, Angent of Despair deals no combat damage this turn. 3/3 Slovosk’s Schemes Sorcery Scry 3, then exile the top card of your library. Cipher (Then you may exile this spell card encoded on a creature you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, its controller may cast a copy of the encoded card without paying its mana cost.)

It's only been up for a few days. But I'll admit that I'm not sure what to do here, I'm not very aware of the commanders currently in the 2019 commander set and the flavor and theme of this years incarnation.

Legendary Creature - Archon Flying, vigilance, lifelink, exalted

Sorcery Choose one -- :: Exile target creature. :: Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. That creature gains exalted. (If it already had exalted, it now has two instances of exalted.)
Entwine (Choose both if you pay the entwine cost.)

So I'm not using a keyword with this one here but rather a mechanic that appears in basically every set, yet didn't get much attention nor support: evil auras.
With Shibboteth, you can curse your opponents' creatures, lands, etc. and even the opponents themselves to net you nice card advantage. Shibboteth's Touch takes advantage of the multiplayer aspect of commander and lets your opponents go after each other. To make the fun last longer, you can always give the creature deathtouch just by discarding a card (which your commander has made you draw anyways because of the aura). Other opponents will likely not block the poor cursed soul, thereby not only losing life but also giving you more cards over the course of a game.
