I have been looking for the source code for MSE so I can compile it for Linux. I can't seem to find recent source code. Where can I find it?

I don't really have a solution for you, but felt a response to your query was important.
#1 I don't believe there are any "recent" source codes.
#2 There are a few developers looking at updating and modernizing the source code you can see where they are at in this project within this thread. If you want you could post a query in that thread as well to insure your question is answered.
#3 Be patient for a response, some of the devo forum members don't check in every day.
