So I am going through and cleaning out a bunch of the styles that I do not want to use from the data folder and when I delete the Doomtown style it messes with the style tab of the actual program. When I try clicking the style tab in MSE when Doomtown is not in the data folder it crashes and gives me a message in the console tab that it cannot be found but so far none of the other styles I have removed, probably at least over 30 others, have done this. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

I'm not understanding your problem. Based upon your post above I do feel it important to point out that whenever you modify the styles and games in MSE it won't refresh until you shut down the program and restart it.
Based upon what you said, is your problem that you delete the Doomtown style and the Doomtown card style tab is still available. If this is your problem and remembering what I stated above doesn't fix it, I'm not sure as it worked correctly when I did so I on my build.

No, when I remove the doomtown style from the data folder it causes a problem with the actual MSE program. When I'm in a set working on editing I can not go to the style tab to change the style of the card I am working on, it freezes for a second and then I get a red exclamation icon show up on console tab and it gives me the following messages:
(red exclamation) Package not found: 'C:\Users\Brian\Desktop\MSE\data\magic-doomtown.mes-style'
(yellow triangle) Package not found: 'magic-doomtown.mse-style'
I don't have it in the list and am not trying to select the doomtown style, it just does this whenever I try to go to the style tab if I've removed it, but the 30 or so others that I have removed don't do this.
And I restart the program after every time I remove something

Aha, I understand.
I don't know for sure what does this but a guess is that it gives you the error when using already saved sets (that is where I've seen it). The set has some sort of pointer referencing the doomtown style.
Does it do this when you start and create a new set as well?

Yeah I'm getting this with new sets, I've never used the Doomtown style for anything

Played around with my full build a little and finally got it to replicate what you had with some of the VS templates.
I couldn't find the problem pointer.
The only way I could fix this was to start with the basic install and then add in all of the style templates I wanted from the old build, this seemed to fix it. If this hadn't worked the next thing I would have tried is to download the styles I wanted again.
Course if you wanted another option would be to redownload the Doomtown style and put it in again.

It does this because Doomtown has a non-obvious dependencies, so you've got one or more folders in there that require doomtown. Usually the best bet is to look through the magic-mana folders for magic-mana-small-doomtown and any others with doomtown in the name.

Thank you so much impspiritguide and cajun; I did look through and found the doomtown mana folder, taking that out with the style folder did the trick. I thought it might have been another file trying to use it but had seemed weird when of many other styles it was the only one that had done that.

Yea from what I remember doomtown was coded screwy which is why it happens here and basically no where else

makes sense, and the only other styles I'm seeing any of this with is the core files for M15, Magic New, Magic New Tokens, and Magic New Promo because there are other styles that use things from their folders. I would get rid of those two since I have the mainframe templates now but not sure how to do so without having to go through and trying to figure our which templates need those sets and then trying to go in a recode a bunch of stuff so just gonna keep those 4 in
