I'm keen on any suggestions for balance for my submission. Given the complexity of the ultimate, I changed it to -12, but I'm worried that the +2 might be too powerful. Both the the +2 and -3 seem very strong to me. I know Tamiyo, Field Researcher's freeze ability is a little different, but it's still a -2 here. Freezing two creatures each turn and simultaneously getting more loyalty on Jaina is just too much. The -3 is arguably a better Confiscate for nonland permanents, and you still keep Jaina alive after using it the turn she comes into play. That's real powerful for a four mana 'walker. The ultimate is probably fine, though also very strong. It is an ultimate after all.
You could tweak the numbers here and there to make her more reasonable. I'd say an easy solution would be to make her cost ~3 mana more, but if you want to keep her at four mana, change up the abilities or make them less cost effective.

What do you think of this? I want to keep the mana cost relatively the same, so I'm adjusting the first two abilities: {Render}

You'd then need two targets to be able to get more loyalty counters on her, but most of the time that should't be too difficult. I'm still not sure the power is at the right level, it's tough to tell. Either way, it's much more fair that the first iteration.

New entry. You know how a lot of RPGs will pad out their enemy rosters with palette-swapped versions of existing enemies, usually using them as harder versions of that enemy? Well... that. Chromatic aberration is also the technical name for that weird colored blurring that sometimes happens with mis-focused lenses, and is also often used as a "cinematic" screen filter in games. Appreciate my joke! Appreciate it!{old entry}Almost every large-scale strategy game has some kind of supply system to force you to pay at least some attention to your economy. You might be building houses, paying upkeep, or even constructing additional pylons to support your growing army. With that in mind, here's something based on these mechanics to punish wide decks... or abuse for your own purposes.

@ Neottolemo: Thanks for the feedback - glad you like the typeline
@ jynx316: You indeed need to choose one card as your final entry, but I can add the other two ones as "reference" to the final poll if you want.
@ Icarael: Don't worry, visual novels are fine!
@ spazlaz: Totally fits the "..or be based around videogames in general.." part.

TesagkOn Jaina, I feel as though you’ve gone for the “too many if’s” approach, where someone tries to overexplain rules on a card. I feel as though her +2 could just deep tap one target creature and be fine. 4 mana for a walker that forces you to have a creature to target under your control is way too weak, and not even an “up to one” clause. Her -4 is great, actually, I think. She can’t use it the turn she comes out, making it not a 4 mana exile+copy. Heck, it could stand to be a -4 but she starts at 4. Her ult is kinda... meh? You can’t actually do anything with the extra turn (as everything you did is shuffled in) and just extends the game to an agonizingly slow pace, where your starting hand is 5 and Jaina can’t actually DO anything because there are no creatures.

Thanks for the comments. I'll have to do some thinking about it though, I agree that the ultimate isn't as "wow" as it could be and has a lot of issues with board states. But it sort of fit the flavor I was going for nearly spot-on. But... I have some ideas. Edit: Updated, and added an additional aside.

New entry - old one didn't really feel game-y enough. Edited into my original post.

Wasn't entirely sure how the wording on this one should go, but I think it gets the point across. Also the costs are probably super wonky but I've been sick for weeks and now that I'm feeling better I wanted to get something in because I love this challenge XD
