I am using a virtual machine for MSE. While MSE itself works just fine, adding templates seem to be a nightmare. I have downloaded and extracted the rar file for the template, however the mse-installer will not work. It keeps telling me that it is not in a folder shared with the host and cannot be opened by the host. I’ve tried using different programs to open it, to no avail. The template is of Force of Will. Through windows 10, I also cannot change the file type to read as anything else from “MSE-INSTALLER” file because windows 10 is a cluster#%^*! I’m at the end of my rope, any help would be appreciated.

Okay, you were pretty close to solving this. You need to rename the .mse-installer to be a .zip instead, so that just means we need to enable to file extensions in Windows. When you open up a folder, near to the top right there should be a greyish arrow that says "Expand the Ribbon" when you hover over it. Click that, then go to the View tab. In there you can find a check box next to File Name Extension. Now that they show you should be able to rename the .mse-installer to a .zip
