Hello everybody! I've been using MSE2 for years & I really love it. I like making cards, especially for games that I play. Recently I have been playing Star Wars: Destiny by Fantasy Flight Games & have been wanting to make my own OCs into cards. I'm wondering if anyone out there can &/or plans to make a template for SW:D? As smart as I am, I'm no programmer. I don't mean to impose on anyone, but I would be ever so delighted if someone could do this. Thank you for your time & have a wonderful day!

#1 - On this website we can often help a man learn to fish, rather than doing the fishing. That said there are several hard parts to creating a template of an existing game. The first is to get the graphic elements; to do this you don't need to know anything about programming. In short you need to be able to create a template of the card in an image editing software (GIMP is probably the most used freeware available), but to make this template without any text. If you can start with this then you are more likely to get help with other parts of the template.
#2 - Before undertaking this particular project, I would start with finding out how it is looked upon by the trademark and copyright holders. Disney is notorious for keeping it's trademarks, etc close at hand and well under control, and LucasArts has an even more stringent history; be aware that you WOULD be infringing upon this by creating a copy of the card background art, make sure that this is ok for fan-based alterations first, check with the game community they should know the status of creating self-made cards for the game. I'd hate for you to put a lot of work into this simply to recieve a cease and desist request.
You aren't alone in this for additional links see links to the original forum below (be aware we moved here because the old forum had was somewhat unreliable, if the link doesn't work give it an hour and try again).

So, I'm quite apprehensive about reviving this topic. I know that you guys have better things to do than listen to me, but I just feel the need to do this. I don't expect anyone to fulfill this request & I won't waste anyone's time begging or demanding & I humbly apologize if my words come off that way. With that out of the way I will cut to the chase.
Besides the obvious matter of "if I want it I should learn how to do it myself" (not being rude there, just stating the facts), the other sentiment about this was legal issues. As of now, the card & dice game, Star Wars: Destiny, has been dead for a few years. In light of this, there have been two fan groups who have continued the legacy of SW:D, releasing their own print-and-play cards for the game. I'm not sure how those groups make their cards (probably with Photoshop or something), but given the fact that the game is dead (& the fact that a template for the old Star Wars TCG is included with MSE2's non-magic template installer) I was wondering if those legal issues would still be a huge concern.
Again, I'm not saying "SOMEONE GET ON THIS NOW!!!" or anything like that & I apologize if any part of what I said comes off as rude or offensive. Whether or not someone fulfills this or tells me to GTFO, thank you for your time, it is very much appreciated & God bless.
