{Spoiler}
Not sure which name I like better for the set. Is there a way to set up a poll for this? Manorubu is the name of the Plane it takes place on, while War of the Angels is more thematic.
Anyways, since I'm now in the playtesting phase, I'm just going to set up the backstory for my set here. Once I have everything updated with correct wording and adjusted from suggestions, I will add sample cards, and, finally, a link to the set. Hope everyone enjoys the story portion.

Manoburu
Once, long ago, there was a particularly mana-rich plane. It had no name, as there were none on it to voice such concepts. After millennia of solitude, it was discovered by a group of five angels. These angels decided to stay on this plane, which they named Manoburu, a combination of Mana and their phrase for “To Rise”. To govern it fairly, each attuned themselves to one of the colors of mana and the time of day to which they felt most connected. They then created follower angels from the mana of their essence, to serve them. The Angels of Dawn for white, Angels of the Sunset for blue, Angels of the night for black, Angels of the midday sun for red, and the Angels of the rare eclipse for green.
These Angels tended the mana, and protected their new home from multi-planar attacks until two of their numbers began to war against each other. An Angel of Dawn, Din Ezl, whilst defending her home on Manoburu erupted, awakening as a Planeswalker. Another angel, Sardia, was tempted by other planar agents to allow a wave of demonic energies to corrupt part of the plane. Din Ezl, discovering this, banished Sardia to the lower planes, where she was corrupted into a half angel, half demon temptress.
This was the catalyst that nearly brought the downfall of the angels. Each group went to their own province, and created creatures derived purely from mana, which they dubbed “the Nemesis”. Each group created a Stalker, scouts that could infiltrate another province to gather information, and a Titan, massive creatures so infused with the mana of their creations that they could be dispelled my the smallest prescience of an opposing mana.
As the years continued, the wars between the angels and their Nemeses escalated, but in ways none could have foreseen. First, some of the Nemeses, upset by being created merely as fodder, rebelled against their masters, and created small communities of their own, intermingling with each other, creating an actual race of beings.
Second, the clash of mana created by this war caught the notice of other Planeswalkers, and brought them to this mana rich plane. However, while the Angels and their Nemeses were the first to conquer the plane, Manoburu was the home of many previously unknown Elemental spirits. Some were the normal sort; spirits of nature and natural phenomenon. Others, however, were truly unique. First were the Emotionals, Elemental spirits of Emotions, whose powers were subtle and subversive. Second, were the more powerful lords of the Emotionals, who were the embodiment of the Vices and Virtues that were constant throughout the Multiverse.
Unbeknownst to the Angels, their master, unseen since time immemorial, split the lands of the plane into five lands, attempting to quell their battles. He also planted seeds in the humans now living on the plane that would produce a leader. One who would lead the collected peoples to enlightenment. To protect this child when it was born, he selected four animals, one each from the North, South, East, and West. These animals would be elevated above their brethren, and would protect the people whose child would be this leader from others, and, if needed, each other.
