For countless generations, the great castle of Merestan has stood. Many great warlords and enemies of the kingdom have tried to conquer it, but none have managed. Even now, it stands besieged by the great minotaur warlord Khoreth, commander of the vast Bahed hoard. But the king of Merestan, Alden, and his army of loyal knights fight back, and the palace shows no sign of weakness.
But in the shadows stands Udiil, the shaman of the wilds. Furious towards the ever-encroaching blight of "civilisation" upon nature's perfection, he has long sought a way to return the land to the wilderness, as it should be, as it once was, and as it will be once more. And upon finding the secret of the world's past locked away in the dungeons deep below Merestan itself, he's finally found his answer...
Now the knights of Merestan and the Bahed hoards, once bitter enemies, must unite if they are to stand any hope against an impossible threat - a sky clouded with dragons.

Mission Statement: The idea behind the set is not just to include more Dragons than usual, but to be a true top-down Dragon set. What Theros was to Greek mythology, this set wants to be with Dragons.
- Hoard N (Create N tapped Treasure artifact tokens with ", Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any colour to your mana pool".) A dabbling in all colours, but focused in red and blue, which also have various ways to use the Treasure outside of creating mana.
- Armoured N (This creature enters the battlefield with N +1/+1 counters on it. If it would be destroyed while it has a +1/+1 counter, instead remove all damage and a counter.) Found primarily in white and green, with a smattering of black and red, armoured is a keyword for the various knights and warriors standing against the dragons.
- Breath weapon - When (BIG SCARY DRAGON) enters the battlefield, it deals 1 damage to up to two target creatures, and something else bad happens to them. (CURRENTLY TESTING: Just having the bad stuff happen without also pinging, at suggestion of fluffydeathbringer)
{Spoiler}
- Returning mechanic: Reinforce N - COST (COST, Discard this card: Put N +1/+1 counters on target creature.) Originally from the Morningtide set, reinforce combos nicely with armoured as well as helping create a nice "go big" feeling for the set. All colours get a little, but it's mostly in white and black.
