Not sure if this would be the right place to put this, but what the hey.
I am a huge fan of the Japanese Tokusatsu (or literally "special effects", but generally used to refer to such movies as Godzilla and Gamera, or shows such as Super Sentai) Kamen Rider. If you are not familiar, the easiest explanation is its a show about a Hero (usually riding a motorcycle) who can change from his human form to an enpowered alternate form. He usually fights against a terrorist organization (in the old shows) or an otherworldly threat (newer shows), bent on taking over/destroying the world.
To set it apart from normal Magic, I have come up with some specific Keywords for it. Some are fairly simple and straight forward, while one is potentially troublesome. First, the easy ones, which I would like some general thoughts on.
Grunt - You are not limited to four of this creature in your library. This is only seen on the basic enemies that the Rider just cuts through in episodes, usually as a prelude to fighting the actual monster.
Henshin <name> - Exile this creature. Search your Library and Graveyard for a creature named <name>, and put them onto the Battlefield, untapped and with Haste. This is part of the show itself; the changing of the human to powered Kamen Rider. This is seen on the human version of the character. Other then doing the two sided card for each Rider, I wasn't sure how else to show the human changing to the Rider.
An off shoot to this, is Form Change <cost> <name>. This will be on the later Riders, who have access to different forms, each with their own abilities and powers. The Forms would essentially be an Aura, giving the new abilities. The Form Change Keyword would allow you to seach for that form, and automatically attach it. It would also allow me to have different versions of each Rider, with their different forms on the Keyword.
Now, for the difficult one. Each Rider has a certain attack (usually a kick of some sort, called a "Rider Kick"), that is used to defeat the monster of the episode. Generally, it is used only after a drawn out fight, and ends the show for the week. I have attempted to duplicate this with the Keyword Hissatsu Waza, or Sure Kill Technique.
Hissatsu Waza <name> - T: Destroy Target <name> if it’s Toughness is equal to or less then this Creature’s Power and Toughness combined. Each Rider would have the Keyword set for the type of monsters they fought in their series. For the early series, the monsters were all referred to as "Kaiju" or Strange Creature. The later series each had a different monster type they fought (Grongi, Wyrm, Roidmude, etc). However, I'm not sure if this will really work as well as I'm hoping. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
