I've mostly taught myself how to use M.S.E.'s coding language by reverse engineering it, but there's only so much I can figure out from staring at the context and/or trial-and-error. I know there's documentation, but the resources on the old forums were limit'd and I'm struggling to find any on the new forums. Is there a dedicated section (like under Additional Resources) or thread I'm not seeing, or is there elsewhere I can look to find it?

There is a new version of the Docs here:
It's basically the same as what was on the old site, but more up to date.
These three pages are particularly useful:
If you have specific questions don't hesitate to ask them here or in the Discord server.

Thank you so much.
I didn’t know there was a Discord server. (Or maybe I’m already on it and don’t realize.) Is there a link already embed’d somewhere on these boards?

I've look through the wiki a bit, but I can't seem to find the explanations of certain characters when used as shorthand for certain concepts that aren't themselves a made from characters (like "^" meaning "start of line" and "$" meaning "end of line").

These are regular expressions, aka regex.
Here is the documentation for MSE's version of regex:
but it's a universal concept that is probably easier to learn from somewhere else on the web. For example, the site RegexOne has pretty good interactive tutorials:

Oh, wow; it’s been so ling since I’ve interact’d with RegEx that I forgot what they were, so when I say them in the list of categories, I thought, “Naaaah; couldn’t be those.”
Thanks for pulling me out of that.
