How do You Go About with your Set Design?

Hello, everyone. First post here. :3

I would like to solicit the advice of others in the forum. Or rather, I'm interested in hearing how each of you go about organizing your projects whenever you start new expansions. What are your planning practices, which cards do you create first, do you have any sort of design patterns that you like to follow, do you just create random cards, etc. I... hope that this is an appropriate topic for this section of the forum. I have downloaded and dabbled with the set editor a few times in the past. Unfortunately, I never really got far in making my own expansion due to... I guess organizational issues? Either way, this time I am DETERMINED to make a proper expansion of sorts. And so, as a way of helping me along that path, I thought I would see if I could gather some information about best practices that you all perhaps engage in.
