I've been working on a template for Lorcana, and have made a lot of progress but have run into a couple issues that have stumped me. I'll start with two of the more visible.
Original card on the left, recreation on the right.
First issue - the red circled text with the brown background. I have not been able to come up with a way to script something like that. The only thing I can think of is to use styling options to manually set coordinates and sizes.
Second issue - the green circled text, a two letter language code. I tried referencing the set language setting, but kept getting errors. "Cannot convert from string to object." and "Should be a text field."
Naturally, half an hour after posting I figured something out.

The only thing I can think of is making a symbol font.

Not my first choice, but it seems to work. Still some fine-tuning to do on the size/placement of the characters. I still haven't figured out a way to handle the gap between the textbox and the outer frame.

Hi, Great work with this, don't suppose you could provide the download? Thanks

Here you go. Two template versions, regular and low-ink playtest.
Enclose ability names in square brackets to get the background.
I have not yet incorporated lore values above 4 - only one in the game to date, from the newest set so I haven't gotten to it yet.
Enchanted is just a rarity level, it doesn't change anything but the position in the set.
The required fonts are:
Brandon Text (limited trial is free, full version is available if you need the additional characters)

It looks like Bogle is a "good enough" free alternative to Brandon Text for we the po' folks.

I finally got around to looking at the suggested alternative fonts.
Both of the alternatives come from the same designer and are part of the same family, so they are all fairly close. So close the differences really only show when placed side-by-side or overlaid. Bogle doesn't have a condensed option so it is wider. The lowercase characters in Brandon Grotesque are slightly shorter, but even knowing this when seen side-by-side I don't know that I could tell a difference. The "g" and "j" are also supposed to be different, although I have trouble seeing the change in the "j".
So both would be viable alternatives. However, I don't think either one is meant to be free. The provided link to Bogle has license text including "Exclusive use of this font software is granted to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc." and the designer does not provide any option to buy or download it. Brandon Grotesque is available for sale on the designer's site with a free trial like Brandon Text, so probably not intended to be free either.

genleo, thanks for the hard work on this, this is amazing!
A dumb question for you fine folks - how do I "link" one of these fonts to the templates? I downloaded the fonts and put them in my MSE fonts folder, and also made sure to "install" them all on my PC, but MSE still isn't using them for the Lorcana templates yet.
Thanks very much!
