Welcome to the Deckbuilders' Challenge originally created by sdfkjgh! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a deck along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of every two weeks, a winner will be determined by forum poll, and the winner decides the challenge for the next fortnight's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our eighty-forth challenge! The winner of the “Wilds of Oldraine“ challenge was melono with... |
(Pauper Commander)
{Comments}A pauper commander deck all about tapping your opponent's creatures and using that as a political tool, while accumulating cards and getting to some of your kinda big boys while keeping opponents left over tapped down. Old Eldraine cards are visible in the maybeboard and new Eldraine cards are visible in the Sideboard. |
And the challenge issued by our winner was... Create a deck where creating tokens, whichever token, is (part of) your main strategy. Please provide a decklist using deckstats, tappedout or similar. Feel free to add some comments as they will be included in the final poll. Please provide a deck name as well as choose a card to represent your deck in the poll. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

I use Blood tokens to overwhelm my opponents!
Note: I didn't use any cards over $20 to keep the deck not too expensive.

Dreaming of bigger things This is a pauper commander token deck, that wants tokens to become monsters. At first, create tokens. Second, get the commander out. Third, at the end of your turn, henshin-a-gogo baby!

(Commander)
This might come up as a supprise to some of you, but for these challenges I tend to settle on a theme fitting to the challenge - and then drive it into the ground as much as I can
This time, the task was "simple": How many differnt types of tokens can I fit into a Commander deck to still look like it'd still play solidly? The answer is 57 (Skyclave Relic is missing in the token list due to not having an official token apparently.) apparently And yes, not two cards create the same type of tokens.
Small note: I decided to group mechanics creating token copies together even though they'd technically create different tokens - for example both Ultramarines Honour Guard and Space Marine Devastator fought over the single "squad copy" token slot.
This thread is now closed, the poll can be found here. And here's the next challenge!
