Looking for some feedback on the following

mechanic. I've included some basic examples using the same relative mana cost and P/T across C/U/R rarities and color spread. The purpose of the examples is to get an idea of where I should place Voracious (core, expert, etc) and whether it has a high or low complexity. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Voracious Black C

Creature
Voracious
2/3
Voracious Black U
as common + Menace
Voracious Black R
as uncommon + "Sacrifice another creature: ~ gains indestructible until end of turn."
Voracious Red C

Voracious
3/2
Voracious Red U
as common + Haste
Voracious Red R
as Uncommon + "Whenever ~ attacks, you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card."
Voracious Green C

Voracious
3/3
Voracious Green U
as common + Reach
Voracious Green R
as uncommon + "Tap an untapped creature you control: ~ gets +1/+1 until end of turn."
EDIT: Second iteration:
+ Boosts the upside of the mechanic slightly in later turns.
+ Removes complexity of First Strike damage interaction.
+ Simplifies combat math projections by guaranteeing a +1/+1 counter if the creature participates in future combat.
/ Mana cost increase by
or P/T decrease to balance might be necessary, but I will finely balance this further based on the removal of the set, etc.
/ I am considering mirrored P/T for further simplicity.
I think I like this second iteration a lot more. Looking back at the first, it looks a bit archaic.

Voracious
{this_or_that("creature", upper:true)} can only attack or block alone. Whenever {this_or_that("creature")} deals combat damage, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
