(Budget)
{Comments}A lot of casual Illusion tribal decks like this one often hit on the idea of using Krovikan Mist as an efficient beater preferrably backed with Lord of the Unreal, but there's usually a struggle to make it really go toe to toe with anything slightly more efficient. The comments section on Gatherer suggests trying Chronozoa, but that's fairly slow on its own right and Solemnity screws itself over while making it an impractical 3-card combo. This deck takes a slightly different route by exploiting that 1) a lot of Illusions having flying and 2) Mistform Sliver is a Sliver and an Illusion. We run a small package of Winged Sliver and Shadow Sliver that can effectively get pseudo pumped by Mistform and some lords to swing in for big damage, and take advantage of everything having flying by running a full playset of Favorable Winds so that everything we play, one way or another, is getting multiple stacking buffs. Our removal comes in the form of Aether Channeler and Riftwing Cloudskate, which also create compatible creatures with this strategy in addition to being affordable bounce spells. |

{Comments}I plan to submit an update to my Wort, the Raidmother EDH deck that hasn't been touched in about 5 years... Hope to have some time for it this week. (Been telling my playgroup that I'll make updates to it soon TM for the last 2-3 years now... lol) Edit: Here is the update! Changed 13 cards (1 of which is a land). Mostly added cards I recently got in MOM packs during the pre-release, so they are definitely brand new! The deck still greatly suffers from a lack of early mana acceleration... might get around to tuning that at some pointTM, but I'm also OK with it as is (seeing that I took out mana search and didn't replace it...) (Ended up replacing the early land search with actual acceleration.). Hope to survive the early game long enough to smash face in one huge combat! |

{Comments}This is a deck that most times, just feels like a random pile, but sometimes, you can have runs of playing almost the entire library off the top of the deck. My goal with this deck is never to win, so much as it's always to get a fully-powered Ellywick emblem (something which has happened only twice, and one time fairly recently, I was just about to get The Atropal for the full +6/+6, but my opponent conceded). Unfortunately, I seem to be the ONLY Timmy on Arena, amongst a sea of Johnnies, Jennies, and Spikes (mostly Spikes), who would rather their opponent either didn't exist, or should be made to suffer for all eternity for daring to exist (no joke, one time, my opponent conceded the match because I c/wouldn't do anything against them; I was playing around their removal, and they didn't like it). I hate going hard, I don't wanna go hard, I just wanna get an emblem that grants all my dudes +6/+6 (wish it was +8/+8 instead), but some people insist on running broken bullshit (like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, Muldrotha, the Gravetide, Atraxa, Grand Unifier, Atraxa, Praetor's Voice, Alela, Artful Provocateur, etc., etc., ad nauseam), forcing my hand. |
