I don't know if any of you noticed this or not, but prior to 5E, nonbasic lands were a bit of a mess. I don't blame MSE for not including every variation that existed back then, but I would like to review them. First, we need an option for the "rectangular bullseye" effect that the original dual lands had. This is a real Scrubland: And here's the best that I could manage with MSE: imgur.com/9wSan7K imgur.com/9FMYFPXAfter that, every expansion basically had its own frame for nonbasic lands. Yellowish for Arabian Nights, rust-colored for Antiquites, shiny gold for Legends, a dark bluish-purple for The Dark, a more reddish-purple for Fallen Empires, and so on. When these lands were reprinted in Chronicles and 4E, they were allowed to keep their original frames. 5E eventually standardized everything by using the Arabian Nights yellow for everything. The two-tone effect used here by MSE didn't exist until 6E. In the absence of any mana symbols in the text box, the "Abu" frame in MSE defaults so something that has never historically existed in MTG, while the 4th Ed frame defaults to Antiquites Rust. It would be nice to be able to choose the expansion-specific nonbasic land frames. On a final note... shouldn't the 4th Ed frame be renamed the Revised frame, and its description altered to match? Or is there an actual Revised through Fallen Empires frame hiding somewhere in the options?

The option you want is called “Alpha style blending”.
