A friend and I have been working on a set together for a while. We have discussed themes, factions, and mechanics, but have been iterating on them independently. One of the mechanics we created is called transmit. It is a mechanic somewhat ispired by Amass, and involves charge counters with multiple cards in the set caring about charge counters. However, we each have created slightly different version of the mechanic. I would appreciate some advice one which version seems better.
Version 1: Transmit {N}-If you do not control a Beacon token, create an article token named Beacon. Then, put {N} charge counters on target artifact you control without charge counters on it.
Version 2: Transmit- If you do not control a Beacon token, create a beacon artifact token with "T, remove a charge counter from this permanent: Put a charge counter on target artifact." Then put a charge counter on target Beacon you control.
To clarify, incase it wasn't clear enough, version 1 creates a token named Beacon, version 2 creates a token with the subtype beacon.
I would appreciate any help or advice you all could provide, and I apologize for not having any examples to show, but I am currently on my phone.
