Popping in to say hi

Hello everyoneee! Those of you who remember me (same name in the old forums), I missed you all and hope everyone is doing well

I was hit by a wave of nostalgia and decided to pop back in and show that I'm still alive, won't really be active in the forum again but I wanted to catch up a little :3

So... it's been many years since I've showed up around here, and my first time in the new forums and, well, a lot has happened.

First of all there's an important disclosure I gotta do which is, I was pretty damn young back then. I didn't mention my age cuz of internet safety and all but yeah, I'm 20 now so you can do the math interacting with you all in the MSE forums was a pretty important step in my growth and internet experience and probably the first time I befriended internet strangers and they were very fun times that I'm glad I had. If I did anything cringe pls blame it on my age

I guess I gave off the wrong impression to some people last time I did an update that I was preaching the dangers of technology cuz I shared a random project thing I did for a school presentation - I'm sorry okay I really was a young teen sharing random work I did for school and it doesn't represent my current views nor did it even represent my past views, it was just me going out of my way to try and do way too much for schoolwork, but seen through the perspective of assuming I was an adult, it definitely made it seem like it was a big thing I was doing which was not at all the case. Pls ignore it don't let cringe but well-intentioned teenage me define my legacy haha - I shared a lot of random things but I guess that stuck more with people cuz it seemed like it represented my views and I was just like "omg noo what have I done I don't want people to remember me that way". So yeah, I haven't been online not due to that haha only due to not having done MtG design and using other social media like Twitter or Discord, but I've been very much online lol (if you want my account on any of those lemme know :3).

I haven't been doing MtG design, but I'm still an MtG nerd and had my first LGS experiences not too long ago, which were fun. Still gotta do it more and don't really have an irl play group, but at least I have crossed swords (crossed cards?) with people other than my brother so that's progress.

Also, I came out as gay years ago which while lurking my old BattleBoards was funny to look at in hindsight because I definitely shipped Arion and Joel and felt giddy at the thought them together, but heteronormative pressures just didn't let me explore it so I had it be vaguely platonic. Now I have a cute bf who I will hopefully rope into being an MtG nerd with me so all's well. And I've embraced the fact that I'm just one hell of a soft sensitive dude and gone all in on dressing in cute clothes and calling myself a femboy cuz screw being pressured not to do what we enjoy.

That said I've definitely been more of a media nerd in general, from anime, games, VNs, TV, all sorts of stuff a lot more so than just card games. Genshin's been a big obssession cuz I have fun with building my characters and enjoying their designs and stories, pretty fun game. And I'm a uni student now, studying drawing, hope to do art professionally in the future so that's neat :3 Writing and drawing and creating in general have always been passions of mine, I hope to try my hand at irl DnD soon as well for the first time. I did a short VN for a school project that I'll probably share online soon, think it came out pretty neat, and I have the ambition to do RPGMaker games with art and story of my own cuz that's combining three of my great passions. Being in an art course has been letting me do fun stuff like animation, comics, life drawing and all sorts of things, plus it also means interacting more with fellow nerds which is always a plus - alongside now living in a big city with a lot more stuff to do, even if staying at home being a nerd is still a prime free time activity.
