Welcome to the Deckbuilders' Challenge originally created by sdfkjgh! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a deck along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! {Comments}To be fair, the absolute main strategy of this deck is cycling lands - but to do this for free, well shall Cascade into a Fluctuator and then go nuts! This is a quick recreation of an older deck I once played before Shardless Agent even existed, I updated a few spots and went a bit nuts on the mana base (I definitely don't own fetches and old duals  ). |

 ToxicityCommander deck that's all about deathtouch/infect/poison/proliferate. Granted deathtouch is probably the only actual evergreen/deciduous ability, but I feel like this still applies. |

Does the challenge mean we can only use keywords/ability words, or are things like creating tokens and things associated with a certain mechanic like Sagas also okay?

Nothing like colored artifacts or similar, I'd really like to focus on the key(ability)words. Subtypes with rules attached to them do blurr the line though - so when in doubt, just wing it  |

(Pauper Commander) A pauper commander deck where you use deathtouch on Plague Spitter as a constant boardwipe. Though, it also deals itself damage, so you gotta protect it before the deathtouch (using either damage prevention or regeneration). A secondary tech is giving Plague Spitter lifelink, which means gaining a ton of damage if people want to play any creatures (but even then, you get at least 5 lifegain with four players (and 1 damage)). |

I'm amazed I never heard of Plague Spitter until now, I've been looking for a card like it for a while. Probably going to use it in some of my future decks.
Tbh this is one of the things I really like about Deckbuilder's Challenge - you never what you'll discover from people building stuff.

   It would be extremely painful...for you.  (Indestructible, Budget)DecklistFun fact: The deck was inspired by Bane, Lord of Darkness ( relevant meme here), but he didn't make the cut due to a 4 mana creature needing blue not really fitting with the deck's plan. Budget deck that looks like a janky Orzhov Weenie deck but hides a nasty surprise via running Adanto Vanguard and Arco-Flagellant to quickly let us bring our life down to any life total we desire. Our ideal combo is Break of Day or Frontline Medic combined with Bontu's Last Reckoning to leave our opponent's board empty while we continue to pummel them with creatures that are constantly becoming indestructible to survive boardwipes and bad combat, and Avatar of Hope as a big beater we can just randomly play for 2 mana and overwhelm the opponent. Budget sideboard includes some more wraths if we need to lean into killing creatures more, Faith's Shield and Timely Reinforcements if our opponent is on burn, and a few extra Avatars of Hope if we need to go tall rather than wide. For ultra-budget, remove Bontu's Last Reckoning and replace with Depopulate, Shatter the Sky, or Kaya's Wrath, and replace Concealed Courtyard with 2 Plains and 2 Swamps. |
