Welcome to the Deckbuilders' Challenge originally created by sdfkjgh! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a deck along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! (Pauper Commander)
{Comments}A deck that's all about forcing opponents to block your creatures using quite a few older mechanics in order to do so. The blocking, obviously, pumps your creatures, which controls the board and sometimes tramples damage over. PS: The three cards for the challenge are of course the commander, Wooded Ridgeline, Smash to Dust, and Molten Monstrosity. |
And the challenge issued by our winner was... Make a deck where (part of) the main strategy is exiling cards. Wether that's for controlling your opponent's board, flickering your own, imprinting... as long as it exiles! And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors! |

The only thing I can think of is 4 Murderous Rider, 4 Witch's Oven, 4 Selective Memory, 4 Mana Severance, 4 Saw It Coming, 4 Sublime Epiphany, 4 Wizard Class, 4 Rogue Class, 4 Warlock Class, 4 Castle Lochthwain, 4 Castle Vantress, 4 Temple of Deceit, 4 Watery Grave, 4 Island, & 4 Swamp. Huh. That went from the first four unique cards to a full deck insanely quickly. I think I'll call this Concussing Myself for Fun and Profit. The goal is to get an Oven out, then exile your entire library (minus the Riders and a few other choice cards tailored to the situation), so that all you're drawing is removal+. Could this be better achieved with Doomsday? Prolly, but this deck is already brain-melting enough. Nobody wants to slip & fall on CSF spilling out of peoples' ears all over the floor, eww. |

I'm back, kind of. Here's my last minute entry for the challenge. It's a fairly built EDH deck, mainly to exile and play most of your opponent's card. Stealing, but not outwright mind control. It's as though Prosper and Tasha have partner. (There are pirate pillager decks that play partner commanders, yes. I choose not to because of the "exile" flavor.)
Don't mind the vampire clause. The glimmpse of hope that Evelyn is going to trigger off other creatures entering the battlefield is resolving Maskwood Nexus, which you cannot exclusively tutor for other than Demonic Tutor, which I recommend you to choose other convincing choices, like The Ruinous Powers or Fierce Guardianship, depending on the scenario.
Also, there's a blink sub-synergy, since the commander, Gonti and a lot of psuedo-Gonties trigger off ETBs. |

To be fair, the absolute main strategy of this deck is cycling cards - but to do this for free, well shall Cascade into a Fluctuator and then go nuts! This is a quick recreation of an older deck I once played before Shardless Agent even existed, I updated a few spots and went a bit nuts on the mana base (I definitely don't own fetches and old duals  ).
