I assume it's a reference to..
{spoiler alert}..Thanos wiping out half the universe with a snap of his fingers. Haven't really seen the movie (or read the comics) so I'm not 100% sure concerning the quote.

@burningcreator: Your card is fighting with itself. It's a sorcery, so your opponent has full knowledge of how they best want to exploit its effect. I realize you were trying to make a Xanatos Gambit, but a better execution would've been to make the destruction a may ability. That way, your opponent doesn't know if they're going to lose their creature to you, or just lose their creature.
They could try to crash in with their targeted guy, hoping you'll decide to kill it, but there's still the tension of, even if you're at a low life total, you can still decide not to destroy it, so you can gain control of it later. |
