Inspired by the announcement that WotC had the rights to produce a Middle-earth Magic expansion, I started theorycrafting and quickly came to the conclusion that the standard 5 colors are not a great fit for Middle-earth's metaphysics. While I expect WotC to force that square peg into that round hole regardless, I thought it would be fun to come up with my own mana system and make my own Middle-earth cards.
So what I want to do is this: I want to keep the basic template and mechanics of Magic (card types, subtypes, & layouts), but replace the 5 existing colors (WUBRG) with a set of 7 colors/elements (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Nature, Light, and Shadow). The resources and tutorials I've been able to find all seem to be written with the assumption that you would be continuing to use Magic's existing 5-color system, just either with different symbols or with the additional of a 6th color. How would I go about completely replacing them?

As far as I know you could use the extra colors as a template. I believe L, O, and E have been abandon, but K and P still exist though I am unaware of how the current extra system eorks But you could restyle WURBG with KP change the symbols and the templates and you should have something working.
