So, in addition to the Planeshift books for playing 5e set in Zendikar, Innistrad, Kaladesh, Amonkhet, Ixalan, and even Dominaria, WotC has now published an official Magic set for the Forgotten Realms. Now, I think that Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is a really cool idea, but it raises an unusual question. See, now that we have an official set that takes place in Faerûn, that means that Toril, the world in which Faerûn exists, is officially a part of the MtG multiverse. So, by extension, anything that exists in the Forgotten Realms now canonically exists somewhere in MtG, even if there's no card for it, right? Well, here's the thing; Canonically, there are portals to Earth in Faerûn. As in... our Earth. A legendary wizard from Faerûn, Elminster, has canonically come to Earth and collaborated on several Forgotten Realms products, and takes vacations at Yellowstone National Park. No, I'm not kidding. So, by extension, anything that exists on Earth canonically exists in the Forgotten Realms, and by further extension exists in MtG. Magic: The Gathering exists within the MtG multiverse.
So...doesn't that mean that this should be in Black Border now?

AFR is very explicitly not part of the multiverse though. Just like its planeswalker are not actually planeswalkers, they are jsut represented by planeswalker cards.

So...doesn't that mean that this should be in Black Border now? If this is true, then that means that my "homebrews" are canonically real Magic cards.
This is my new headcanon.
