My setting's landmasses are torn apart by mana-filled rifts caused by powerful mages using the plane/planet as a dueling arena. These are meant to be a mythic cycle. As long as the rarities don't change, I'm fine with suggestions tomake the cycle cohesive.
Oblivion Rift [2WW]
Legendary Enchantment — Rift (M)
Whenever a creature dies, any player may pay [5]. If a player does, exile that creature with a number counter on it until Oblivion Rift leaves the battlefield. Return it to the battlefield under that player’s control when Oblivion Rift leaves the battlefield. (Players are numbered in turn order.)
Mirrored Rift [3UU]
Sorcery (M)
Legendary Enchantment — Rift (M)
Whenever a creature dies, any player may pay {5}. If a player does, that player creates a token copy of the dead creature.
Fetid Rift [3BB]
Legendary Enchantment — Rift (M)
Whenever a creature dies, its controller may pay [5]. If that player does, other players sacrifice a creature.
Cataclysmic Rift [2RR]
Legendary Enchantment — Rift (M)
Whenever a creature dies, its controller may pay [5]. If that player does, creatures they control get +X/+0 until their next turn’s declare blockers step, where X is that card’s mana value.
Verdant Rift [5GG]
Legendary Enchantment — Rift (M)
Whenever a creature dies, its controller may pay [5]. If that player does, they add mana of any one color equal to twice that card’s mana value.
Edit 1: Widened scope to add the fetid, mirrored, and verdant rifts.
Edit 2: Added Oblivion Rift
Edit 3: Changed oblivion and mirrored after input form elsewhere
Edit 4: Figured out how to get multiple spoilers in one post and stated it's meant to be a cohesive cycle
Edit 5: Made them operate whenever a creature dies for [5]
