Build a 3+ color deck that uses no permanents (lands, mana rocks, mana dorks, or similar) that can produce multiple colors of mana other than the Ravnica Bouncelands. Please remember: You're not allowed to vote for yourselves. |
(Modern)
{Comments} So this deck basically takes advantage of the fact that with Zendikar Rising's release it is now technically possible to run 12 copies of Steppe Lynx, cheap creatures that get +2/+2 whenever a land enters the battlefield. We strive to play 2-3 of these fellas and then follow up with anything from Sakura-Tribe Scout to Azusa, Lost but Seeking, which allows us to repeatably play a bounceland twice a turn. The result is a bunch of 4/5 and 5/5 beaters that we should consistently be swinging in with to beat down our opponents. Fetches pull double duty as our early landfall beatdown enablers and manafixing until our bounces and Landfall-spammers can take over for them once you've run out. |

{Comments} So, bouncelands. They do three things that this deck tries to exploit:
1. They increase the amount of mana you have available without increasing the number of lands you have out. 2. They let you play a land without reducing the number of cards in your hand - perfect for when you're trying to loot. 3. They tap for two mana, which makes them really good in conjunction with untappers.
This deck could probably be much more optimized, but eh. |

(Pauper)
{Comments}A janky pauper deck in which you use Glyph of Destruction on one of your walls, then you Soul's Fire and Fling them at your opponent's face. The wall can be replaced with the 7/1 Elemental made with Zektar Shrine Expedition. Also, I didn't use any bouncelands because there was no need. It would just make this deck worse than it already is and the challenge didn't say you had to use them. Only that they were allowed. |
