I'm sure this is an incredibly unoriginal idea, but as a huge Zelda fan I've wanted to develop an MTG set based on the entire series for a long time. I think I began work on this set around three years ago, but I haven't made a whole lot of progress finding art or playtesting in the last year or so. I've been really nervous about sharing it, and I got pretty discouraged after posting a few times on the Custom Magic subreddit. That being said, I would really appreciate any feedback on mechanics, set structure, aesthetics, readability, playability, etc. Thanks! Legends of Hyrule - Planesculptors

I like most of your designs and a lot of the new card subtypes. I don't see many issues with your card wording or power levels. I think your set is lacking in new keyword mechanics, however. I also don't care for the variation in art styles, but I understand that art is a severely limiting factor for some source material. I would try to define some kind of rules for the art and then stick to it. For example, take art only from the games themselves, or only "anime" style, or lean more towards digital paintings, concept art, and so forth that more closely matches MtG styles. That's my advice anyway.

That's my advice anyway. Thank you very much for the feedback! To be totally honest, finding artwork has been insanely difficult for me. I justified some of the more... "Diverse" pieces by telling myself that the Zelda franchise itself has a wide breadth of art styles, but honestly I would prefer to go the route of concept art/official game art. I suppose my unwillingness to change creature types or concepts for some of my card designs makes it more difficult to find appropriate art, as well. I'm actually studying to become a technical artist, and I've been putting a bit of time into digital painting to just create the art I'm envisioning myself XD It's obviously a very long-term solution haha. Are there any mechanics that immediately jump out as easy to change to or implement as keywords? I considered keywording the Equipment token-making mechanic, but I didn't know if that was worthwhile. I guess I still don't have a very firm grasp on what should constitute becoming a keyword or not.
