I have several new clockwork creatures that can be "wound" back up. But, there are two different, albeit related, ways of doing so; one with a mana cost and one without. I'd like to have the keyword, Turnkey, ready just in case I use it enough. Unfortunately, my current syntax is screwed beyond belief. Can the syntax below be made to work?
Matches: Turnkey <mana> Reminder: {for {param1} (add, "1,")}T: Put a {if has {param1} then "two")} time counter(s) on this creature. Activate this ability only if you controlled it during your upkeep.
Example cards (free version) Clockwork Minotaur {3R} Artifact Creature — Minotaur (C) Vanishing 4 Haste {T}: Put a time counter on ~. Activate this ability only if you controlled ~ during your upkeep. 4/4
(costed version) Clockwork Octopus {3UU} Artifact Creature — Octopus (R) Vanishing 3, vanishing 3 (This permanent enters the battlefield with six time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove two time counters from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.) {1}, {T}: Put two time counters on ~. Activate this ability only if you controlled ~ at the beginning of your upkeep. 10/10

Update: I've divided it into two related abilities, for now. However, Id, still, like to combine them, if practicable.

just make it a variable mang
Turnkey X -- <cost> (<cost>, T: Put X time counters on this creature. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.)
the sorcery rider also does what you want the upkeep thing to do because of summoning sickness

Discarding's too much of a drawback for this mechanic, but is there a was to code it so it'd show "{T}, discard a card" because, currently, it shows "Discard a card, {T}".
Additionally, can it be made to appear as "{T}: Put a time counter on this creature. Activate this ability only as a sorcery." without a cost and "<cost>, {T}: Put N time counters on this creature. Activate this ability only as a sorcery." with a cost because "{0}, Put a time counter on this creature. Activate this ability only as a sorcery." is clunky?
