I've been trying to make custom templates for a TCG I'm working on, but I've run into some issues with the template tutorial, as well as some programs used to create new templates. The problem with the tutorial is that it is very hard to follow, and is focused on making a playing card template, rather than a mtg-like card template. The problem with the programs are that they are not user-friendly, and are outdated and so are more or less incompatible with MSE.
If anyone knows of a way to either modify the official card templates, or easily create new ones, that would be much appreciated.
