Well, it sure is a nice sunday today! Time to judge! lordpat - Shamer: It escapes it being a creature land nicely with its effect but it still functioning as one (mostly), but I don’t find it to be very exciting in any way. It’s just a land+creature in your command zone or in your hand. It makes opening hands better, but I feel it doesn’t do a whole lot else to get your deck going. pernicious - Kit and Kindle: the (essentially) sorcery speed protection in its hexproof ability is neat and could be especially good in pillowforts/walls. The protection from Nightmares, though flavorful, is not highly useful. But maybe it is in the set it would be printed in, so I won’t be too judgemental about that. raphiezar - Tochoraad: A phyrexian reclamation on a commander stick. With planeswalker utility as well. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s quite useful to have in your command-zone and simple to understand, yet diverse enough to create shenanigans with it. {Winner} The winner is: Pernicious, with their protective boys.

Thank you for the win, melono.
For the next challenge, design a commander card featuring a character from a movie, an anime, a book or a tv series you liked.

Type 40 T.A.R.D.I.S. Legendary Artifact Creature - Construct Whenever a permanent you control phases in, gain 3 life or scry 3. , : During your next upkeep, phase out up to X non-land permanents you control. 4/4

Kiba Inuzuka Legendary Creature - Human Ninja Menace When ~ enters the battlefield, create a legendary red and green 2/2 Dog token called "Akamaru". Whenever ~ attacks, any number of Dogs you control have base power and toughness 4/4 until end of turn. At the beginning of your end step, draw a card for each opponent who was dealt 4 or damage this turn. 4/4

Whoops my brain stopped working and I posted for a challenge back instead of the current challenge. I need sleep; like 24 hours of uninterruped a coma. I also need an air conditioner that cools my room properly, and not to have just put jalapeño juice from wings I ate hours ago that's still lingering on my hands directly into my eyes my eyes. Anyway here's the Folger's Family from Spy X Family for the actual current challenge.
Loid Folger Three generic, a black, and a blue
Legendary Creature — Human Shapeshifter Rogue
Partner with Anya Folger and Yor Folger
At the beginning of each upkeep, each opponent reveals their hand. Whenever your opponent reveals a nonland card, copy it. You may cast that copy this turn.
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, you may have Loid Folger become a copy of that creature until the end of your next turn, except it is still the legendary creature Loid Folger, it keeps its other abilities, it gains hexproof, and can't be blocked by creatures that player controls.
2/3
| Anya Folger A generic and a green or a white
Legendary Creature— Human Scout
Partner with Loid Folger and Yor Folger (You may have up to two additional commanders if they are Loid and/or Yor Folger. At the beginning of the game, shuffle one of them into your library. You may only have two commanders in the command zone at one time.)
Players play with the top card of their libraries revealed. You may play land cards from the top of any player's libraries.
Whenever player reveals a land card, you gain 1 life (When the top card of a player's library changes, the new top card is revealed).
1/2
| Yor Folger Two generic, a black, and a red
Legendary Creature — Human Assassin
Partner with Anya Folger and Loid Folger
Whenever a creature you don't control dies, flip a coin. If you win the flip create two treasure. If you lose the flip, lose 2 life.
Two black, two red, and tap: Choose one • Put two +1/+1 counters on another creature you control with one or less power. It fights target creature you don't control. • Destroy target creature you don't control.
5/3
|
Are they balanced? Probably not; but I think they've got some ludonarative resonance wit the source material.

serraphim Nicely designed, I would only tweak a couple things: You could have added Yautja to the creature type of the card and of the tokens. Phasing out doesn't seem to me a flavorful choice to represent a Predator's invisibility (I assume it's representing that), maybe hexproof would have been more appropriate.
sorsal Not bad. I would have either raised the cost of the phaser ability up to or reduced the lifegain and scry down to 2 or 1.
lordpat That's very good. The card is well balanced and both mechanics and flavor are on point.
Daij_Djan That's good, but it's a bit too OP for me. I would have either made everyone's spells and abilities be chosen at random to better represent the kishin's madness or, in alternative, raised its cost by 2 or by .
hydraheadhunter Loid is too OP, I'd remove the first ability or replace it with something using surveil and weaken a bit its second ability, perhaps by adding an "except by Walls" clause to its unblockability. Anya is ok, the lifegain is balanced enough and her usefulness as a mana screw amplifier for the opponents and as a mana screw dampener for you is nice. For Yor, I'd only reduce the treasure tokens created nd the life loss to 1 in order to reduce the risk of lucky players getting ludicrous amounts of mana only by crossing their fingers. Her second ability is good. The double partner ability is too OP for me, even if it shuffles one of the commanders in your deck; if it was "Loid and Yor Folger" instead of "Loid and/or Yor Folger" it would have been ok, but still borderline OP.
The winner is lordpat!

I'm changing the deck name, but not the theme: Strong Alone, Stronger Together (Red, Blue, and Green) Cilrk, Bruttish Embassador a generic, a red, and a green
Legendary Creature - Goblin Advisor
Partner with Elves and Merfolk (You may have two commanders if the other is a legendary elf or merfolk. When ~ enters the battlefield, if ~ is not your commander, target player may put a elf or merfolk from their library into their hand, then shuffle.)
You may treat goblins and goblin cards as if they were elves and/or merfolk in addition to their other types.
A red, a green, sacrifice a goblin: deal damage equal to that creature's power to any target.
3/1
| Folas, Regal Egalitarian Three generic, a green and a blue
Legendary Creature - Elf Noble
Partner with Goblins and Merfolk (You may have two commanders if the other is a legendary goblin or merfolk. When ~ enters the battlefield, if ~ is not your commander, target player may put a goblin or merfolk from their library into their hand, then shuffle.
You may treat elves and elf cards as if they were goblins and/or merfolk in addition to their other types.
If one or more goblin or merfolk tokens would enter the battlefield under your control, create that many additional tokens of the same kind except they are green Elves.
2/2
| Monroe, Saavy Peacekeeper two generic, A blue and a red
Legendary Creature - Merfolk Mystic
Partner with Goblins and Elves (You may have two commanders if the other is a legendary goblin or elf. When ~ enters the battlefield, if ~ is not your commander, target player may put a goblin or elf from their library into their hand, then shuffle.)
You may treat merfolk and merfolk cards as if they were goblins and/or elves in addition to their other type.
If a merfolk would cause an ability you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time. Whenever a merfolk activates a non-mana ability, copy it. You may choose new targets for the copy.

This precon's is bit cause it's a weird one: rather than one singular preconstructed deck, it's three bundled precons: red-green goblins, green-blue elves, and blue-red merfolk. These are the face commanders for those decks. The idea is each deck is a half decent precon in its own right, say mid B-tier, and it's your job to from them brew a stronger deck. The decks would be built to avoid duplicates with one notable exception.
I've stated it before, and I'll say it again until wizards does something with the idea (read: forever), every legendary should have a sol ring flavored to match their vibe; put it in a mini set of nothing but sol rings and players would eat it the fuck up. I could even image a mental magic pack wars/draft psuedo-format around it where sol ring proxies the most common cards in those commander decks and you just gotta do your best within the spirit of fun; rarity in the set is determined by commander's approximate tier ranking. That's a long aside to say that each deck would have its own sol ring flavored and the product would come with four bonus sol rings representing the four tribe combinations, so you can pick your flavor.
It's a bit of a weird one, definitely not what your had in mind for the prompt, and maybe if you think it's too out there I can get around to making something else, but I'm away from home and on a laptop that doesn't have a functioning k, q, x, 1, numpad 2, right bracket, F1, right alt, right shift, or m2 button, so odds are slim I'll have the spoons to type a whole nother post out for the same challenge.

Commander suspend 2 - (Rather than cast this card from your command zone, you may pay and exile it with 2 time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, cast it without paying its mana cost. It has haste.) Is commander suspend affected by commander tax?

When the last is removed, cast it without paying its mana cost. It has haste.) Is commander suspend affected by commander tax? Nope, just like with Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow and Derevi, Empyrial Tactician, the ability doesn't cast the card. Only casting from the command zone makes the commander tax increase, and needs commander tax to be paid. (Other abilities with which you would cast your commander, like Prowl or Evoke, do increase and require commander tax).

A Tale of One City ()Obviously a visit to Magic’s most iconic city: Mercadia! No, Meletis! Nephalia? Greenwheel? Better just stick with good ol’ Ravnica. Anyway, here’s a commander for a five-color Gates deck: Bartik the Gateless Legendary Creature — Human Citizen Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, create a 2/2 Citizen creature token that’s all colors. If that land was a Gate, put a +1/+1 counter on each Citizen you control. 4/4 It’s also a decent landfall option.

Elena, Living History Legendary Planeswalker - Elena You may play cards you exiled with memory counters on them and you may spend mana as if it was of any color to cast spells this way. : You gain life equal to target creature’s toughness. If that creature would die until your next turn, exile it with a memory counter on it instead. : Exile the top two cards of your library with a memory counter on them. : Each opponent exiles a card from their hand. Exile all graveyards. Put a memory counter on each card exiled this way. Elena can be your commander.

Thanks for the win. Something that I recently wanted a deck for is a creature that is all about simple swinging for winning. No thoughts, just swinging. Make me a commander that is all about thoughtless swinging.

Glezar, Time Stray Legendary Creature - Shapeshifter Changeling Creatures you control have haste and attack each combat if able. Discard a creature card: Each creature that shares a creature type with the discarded card can’t be blocked this turn. Whenever a creature deals combat damage to a player, return it to its owner’s hand. 4/2

I'll give the win to sorsal for a card that incentivices all to play swing-to-win. I do have to say though, gotta allow enemies to have creatures with summoning sickness to not catch 4 damage. Then it is perf I enjoy Flo00 their card as well, but I'd be more inclined to play a lot of tappers/timmies to get around the bounce, instead of swinging.

Thanks for the win! For a semi-irregular prompt: design a commander whose color identity isn't the same as their color.

Elesh Norn, Queen of Steel Legendary Creature - Phyrexian Preator Your opponent's can't draw cards more than one card each turn, gain life, or put +1/+1 counters on creatures they control. : Draw a card. : Each opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life. : Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. 2/4 Edit: went for a lower cost and weakaned her second ability. Could see her abilities costing different amounts of mana. Specified +1/+1 counter so that -1/-1 counters could be placed on them, cause infect.

I feel like "Each of Lililila's abilities can only be activated once" might work better than "she loses it".
