Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and ninety-fourth challenge!
The winner of the "Stormy Weathers" poll were Daij_Djan (top left), fluffydeathbringer (top right), FLAREdirector (mid left), melono (mid right), mrchristianpunk (bottom left) and viriss (bottom right) with... And the challenge issued by one of our winners was... Make a double-sided card where both sides are different card types. (The card types are artifact, creature, enchantment, instant, land, planeswalker, and sorcery.) The card can't be a creature on the front and a planeswalker on the back, but it can have those types the other way around. (For example, Startled Awake would fulfil the challenge, but Jace, Vryn's Prodigy or Archangel Avacyn wouldn't.)
Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. I know the front half does not, strictly speaking, depict Domri Rade, and the back half is just the Japanese WAR art, but--listen, it's hard to find art of canon characters. You make do.

All the names from that card and all the words from that other card.  It's functionally identical to a "Sacrifice CARDNAME: Do X" ability, but with 100% fewer instances of the word "Deckmaster." Blue gets a crack at Negating a spell instead of Stifling an activated ability, so debatably we can use a lower activation cost. |

 Might have overpriced the transform cost (it's 1WW for indestructible Aura + 1W for instant-speed indestructible) especially since you have to sac your 3/3. Also thinking this would be a decent uncommon in limited if the body was tweaked down. My second card on the forums, so if there's any feedback, I'd be glad to hear it. |

Can of Sealed Evil can’t be sacrificed.

That's not how ability words work m8. Italicized text has no rules meaning. (Also you can still totally just Smelt this.)

Let's just pretend for a moment that the Mirrodin block had Transform...  ...because Phylactery Lich didn't behave like D&D has taught me liches should, and everybody always picked an indestructible card for the phylactery anyway. |

Is there a good reason for the "if it isn't your turn" rider that I'm missing? (Also, you can just use "die" instead on the front face, right?) The rider is essentially to force the turn to always have to make three full passes around the board. As for "die", the text formatting with "would die" just looked funky. Also "dies" is a horrible rules term. It can lead to awkward grammar, and isn't intuitive to read without looking up the "rules meaning" of the term. |
