Looks like scrolling caused the top part of the symbol to go out of the visible area of that box, so apparently MSE decided not to display any of it.

You could change the zindex of the symbol and try that. The issue is that I don't believe it would know to move depending on how many lines of text there are.
I would look at the guides for modifying and implementing custom mana symbols for the magic templates and apply that same templating to this one. I know there are many guides on the old website, not sure about this one.
