When the woman originally arrives, she has to pass by the shoddy wall made by someone who clearly prefers the concept of function over form, but hadn't quite figured out what the function of a wall is. It is made of some dirty grey scrap metal and whatever wood could be chopped down nearby -- the easiest way to tell is that the wood bits still have bark on them from when they were chopped down -- and there are many places where there are gaps from a failure to appropriately bind the materials together. A large tower that seems to be free-standing and even supporting the wall is barely visible from this direction.
It might be surprising, then, when the primary complex looks like someone put even a few minutes of thought into the design. There is a single person -- seemingly the only one in the entire complex, staring up at the turret with a remarkably puzzled look. He's also surprised when yet another person walks past the defenses.
"Used to be. Sorry t' say ya missed 'em by a couple weeks. They hecked off because most of 'em were done here. The "your next turn" wording works way better for this than Abbot. 10/10 Replicationist's Brush
Artifact Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you may exile it. If you do, return it to the battlefield under your control. Equip When Dairans first traveled beyond the planes, their brushes and notebooks took home stories of the grand places beyond the aether. Replicationist's Brush: 9/10. I like it, I think it requires more setup than I'd prefer, between needing a reason to blink and a creature that can hit. Plus you'd have to keep paying the equip cost each time. The woman examines the wall carefully and curiously before passing slowly through an opening, making sure her cloak doesn't get caught on any stray piece of wood. It seems that she was expecting the primary complex but not the wall surrounding it. She seems disappointed by the news. "Ah. I don't really have a message, so much as I have questions. I heard they came from another world, and finally got a chance to come all this way to ask how, and what their world is like. Guess I spent too much time planning the trip, though, if I've missed them by that much."Route Map Artifact Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, choose one: - Target creature you control gains haste until end of turn.

"Somethin' wrong? 'gain, as long as ya don't break it, should be okay to touch. These things gotta be used by thousands o' people per day, I'm sure they can stand up to being poked a bit."I'm a bit sad this says play and not ETB, but it probably has enough going for it that it doesn't need to be silly with fetches. 9/10 Prototype Tunnel Artifact At the beginning of your upkeep, search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped. , Sacrifice Prototype Tunnel: Untap all lands you control. The turret is an entirely non-functional device. It has some open panels where the conduits are visible, but neither energy nor aether are successfully flowing through them. Which might register as strange, as there is definitely aether and a lot of magic around this area. With the already-worthless walls bypassed, the humanoid has a perfect vantage on the outpost, including through the glass walls of the building and the random bits of detailing on the outpost's roof.Through the roof detailing, a human man can be seen sneaking his way up to the corner closest to the humanoid. In his hand is a clean filigree knife. Attached to his belt is a small mess of wires and conduits that was... a homemade something. It could be an explosive, but it could also just as easily be anything else.Having a 7-mana planeswalker do nothing upon landing and requiring doing that pre-combat feels really awkward. The card itself is probably good, if you can manage to stick it while ahead, but while behind it's probably not gonna help you get back into it. 6/10 Aethercyclic Disabler Artifact , Exile Aethercyclic Disabler: Exile all artifacts. All aetheric circuits are built on two fundamental components. A well-positioned ripple of a specific frequency can outright irreversibly destroy those circuits.
